One day flash "sale" at Acme 1/9/19. not amazing by any means, but if it's what you need, it isn't too bad. CPO has it at $599 :wtf:

$249 M18 Fuel 3-piece Combo Kit 2891-23

2703-20 Fuel Drill (Gen 2)
2754-20 Fuel 3/8" Compact Wrench w/ friction ring
2735-20 basic LED light
2 x 2ah batteries

I was just looking over that email and I think they are confused. I don't know that the 2891 ever retailed for $600, and the present sale price of $250 feels just average given that these are 2 gen 2700 series tools, the 2735 light is arguably obsolete (although I like it) and it appears to come w 2 compact batteries per the pic (I couldn't find battery specifics in the description or specs)

The specifications page on Acme's site lists it as (2) 5.0 batteries.

Saw and bought this deal (now backordered) on January 7.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...teries-1-Charger-1-Tool-Bag-2896-24/206397108

It was in stock with "few left" at the time I placed the order. Got an email today saying it's backordered and it will ship once available, however if it wasn't in stock by Feb 7 it would be cancelled. There was an option to email them and keep it open past Feb 7 if desired, which is what I have done.

My question is does Home Depot usually get the combo kits back in stock fairly regularly? Or will I most likely be waiting past Feb 7?

Perhaps doubtful you will get it as its all old models, so unless there is more stock in the Milwaukee warehouses. But its not a good deal, the Fuel packout kit with the drill/driver/hackzall is worth much more for additional $20.

Some stores have stock left of that kit you ordered I think and might of saw it for $349 or less.

So you’re telling me this is not the addiction thread? My mind is blown. Here’s to the next two months of reading the 16,000 posts in the addiction thread.

Glad I didn't jump on the eBay deal during the holidays on the M18 Grease Gun Kit, 2646-21CT. Rural King has it down to $199! fyi: shipping isn't free, but they do have store pickup

Rather than wait until tomorrow to register with RK for tax exempt, I just chatted with HomeDepot and successfully matched the price & avoided shipping!

thanks to anyone who PM'd me about prior sales from my signature, this is what the Dutchiness in me was waiting for :bounce:

3% back on tools thru BeFrugal too

Is $159 the best deal for a Milwaukee 2554 - 3/8 stubby impact gun?

I got mine off ebay about 3 weeks ago for $140 from CPO Outlets. Now most places are between $170 & $180. $159 sounds like a good deal unless you can wait and watch ebay and see if it drops back down.

$239 - 2992-22CX Packout kit
$299 - 2997-23PO Packout Kit
$399 - 6-Tool w/ 3 batteries Packout Kit

Other items discounted: 20-piece hole saw, 29-piece Cobalt drill bits, Women's Jacket (kit or bare) & Womens Vest (bare), oh and a Husky Mechanics Tool Set :wtf:

The $299 Packout deal is smoking. Only time this close, was on eBay when it was $379 -15% = $323

3% back from BeFrugal

Thanks, ordered the Axis jacket for my gf. She's got the vest and loves it. I've been wanting the men's Axis vest for myself 'cause if it's anything like the women's it's the perfect low profile to wear under a coat or jacket of your choosing.

I think that's a pretty good deal if it all you need. I only use the compact batteries on my impact, as it doesn't make sense to carry the extra weight around in my opinion, good or bad shoulder. The only negative I see, as you mentioes it being a dedicated screwdriver, is that it is only 1-speed. While brushlesss, all the models above it in the fuel line, as well as M12 Fuel, have 2 or more speeds to select from.

While deals on it are slim, the most ideal impact for you might be the Fuel Surge. 4-speed selection, smoother driving, as well as much quieter operation. Again, I only ever use 2ah batteries on mine.

International Tool also has the 2997-23PO set on special today for $299, no tax (probably) and free shipping.

That is a great deal on the 3 piece Packout. $40 cheaper then what I paid at Christmas time and I thought I got a smoking deal then.

I keep checking this thread and keep being tempted to switch from yellow to red...

I have a fair number of yellow 20v...would it make more sense to buy the few yellow items I need...or convert to a large red set for the same price...but still lacking the large impact wrench and such...hmm

Thanks! Picked up the 3 piece. I was debating getting the 2 piece at the normal $299 price. Just got a tool for free!

That’s the same thought I had about 2 months ago. I took the plunge and sold all my yellow and black and have invested in the red. Still getting used to it. But I like it so far.

I made the switch about 5 years ago, fantastic decision. I've got about 20-25 Milwaukee cordless tools covering a wide range of their products and 17 M18 batteries and a few corded saws. The Milwaukee tools are just built better, have way better features, and you can't beat the warranty.

Milwaukee warranty is AMAZING. I send tools in 4-6 times a year (I abuse the hell out of a few of my tools) and they keep rebuilding or replacing everything I send in. I've broken a couple batteries as well and they send brand new replacements in retail packaging. Dewalt would of told me to pound sand on the first try.

I'm looking for a deal on a couple of 18v 2.0 batteries. Not looking for knockoffs. Any pricing I find is almost as much as the bigger batteries.

Thanks for the heads up on the jackets, made my wife very happy. Also an update on the 2767-20 bulk purchase through work. They added the protective boots and some 6 up gang charger to spread throughout the shop. About half of us ordered one for personal use as well. Just got mine and its fantastic, makes a nice companion to my m12 3/8" stubby impact.

I know we crapped on International Tool a few weeks back but I gave them another shot and ordered the 2997-23PO kit yesterday for $299 and just got notification today that it has shipped. I've had them fulfill other orders properly as well. So they are not the best by any stretch but they also aren't actually worst either.

Yeah, when I received my chainsaw BOX lacking any actual chainsaw (still unk if theft or it just fell out in shipping) they were surprisingly easy to contact and work with. I did have to follow up asking for my refund after shipping it back (with a return label THEY provided so that's good service right there) but they were apologetic and then refunded nearly immediately
