Are there any kits or combos that come with a 12.0 battery besides the chainsaw? I just got a chainsaw and want a second 12.0.

Best price might be to just get an individual 12.0 off ebay?

Check your local HD if the super Sawzall kit or the 7 1/4 saw kit are on clearance. Mine are at $280 which means you can easily get the batteries for $100. On local sales I have seen the 12.0s for $120+

When you say get the batteries for $100... . Buy the kit then return the tool?

Doesn't it all come in one big box? Or is the kit a bare tool and then they throw in a battery packaged separately?

I think he meant buy the kit and sell the tool. You can't return just the tool.

No I meant selling it in pieces.
Rapid charger - $50
Sawzall - $150
Bag - $20
Whatever is left over is what you will pay for the 12.0

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately none of the stores in any kind of radius show it in stock. I'll still look on the shelf next time I'm there.

My store had the Super Sawzall kit for $367. Buddy of mine who knows the manager got it for me for $267. I was stoked.

How good is the M12 spector inspection scope? I've been wanting something like that for a while and it looks like they just dropped the kit price with bag/battery/charger to 150 for the regular 360 model.

I don’t love mine. Screen is small, resolution unexceptional. But I don’t have anything to compare it to. It’s not good enough to be as useful as I hoped.

Did you get a grinder with it like they're offering online? If not, I would perhaps return your kit and order it off eBay and skip the sales tax. Multiple sellers have the kit with free shipping for the same price.

If you got the grinder then it's probably worth keeping, though the 2680 is a pretty poor (and non-Fuel) grinder.

Either way, that's a decent price. :)

Milwaukee 2860-22 - 1/2" Mid-Torque Impact Wrench Kit - $269

By far the best price I can find on this kit from any vendor/eBay/etc. *but* keep in mind this is the detent pin version. I have not enjoyed my experiences with the Milwaukee detent pin impacts. You can buy the anvil from the 2861 (friction ring version) for $26 on eBay, shipped, which still has you out the door wayyyy cheaper than I can find the 2860-22 or 2861-22 kit anywhere.

Anvil link (may not be cheapest): https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-GENUIN...164036&hash=item2a912ab91f:g:IiUAAOSw-PZZ3srW

this is a good route, the anvil swap is pretty easy. I did the same thing a while ago to save money. one thing to note is that Milwaukee tunes the IPM and torque steps differently on the two models (in modes 1 and 2, I think 3 is the same). I think they do this for automotive (friction ring) vs production line (pin detent) users. I use my converted pin detent one for automotive things and it hasn't been a problem, the settings are pretty close iirc

Same here, I was just fighting that pin this morning. It's great if you never want a socket/extension to come off but ARGH if you need to get a socket off and don't have something to push that pin in. Ordering friction ring anvil right now!

Semi-deal / cheapskate route, but you can save some $ by filing the anvil so it doesn’t have so much retention.

Just got the chainsaw, tool only for $237 at Acme Tool using code THISGOESTO12
Not in stock currently, but sale price still honored.

I was pissed that I bought the chain saw kit w/blower last night, and I wake up this morning and it‘s included in the sale - fortunately I called Acme Tools and they applied the discount to my purchase yesterday. $54 refund! If I can sell the blower it comes with for the going eBay rate of ~$130, that’ll put my kit purchase at a net of roughly $265. No complaints here!

Seeing as you are in MI, if you buy through HomeDepot and pick up in store, you can get another 11% back from 11% rebate right now. On top of that, you can buy gift cards (Happy Guy ones that work at HD) this weekend for 10% off (up to $50 savings).

I'm buying a ton this way this weekend.

Also Acehardware has a 25% off coupon this weekend. Good up to $50. I use on Milwaukee handtools at HD (usually not a problem), as Ace carries Milwaukee.

so you can buy it online (and have it price matched) for in store pickup and then still get the 11% menards rebate?

Yes. As long as you get it shipped to the store you will get a store receipt. Goggle Home Dept 11% coupon and fill out a few numbers from the receipt and you will get the 11% gift card in the mail a couple weeks later.

Correct. Make sure to ask for an in-store receipt at time of pickup. It will print out on 8x11 but will have store register info for submission.

The only caveat is that online can not price match items that are sold in store, only shipped to store. The store employees are the only one that can adjust in-store items. Don't forget the cash-back sites for online too, lol. The time I found out about in-store items not being adjusted, the online rep did put notes for the pickup item so the in-store person saw it should be adjusted, but still store discretion .

I PM'd Acme tools for two Surge drivers. They took $17.88 off each one, then 'free' 2-pack of 3ah HO.

This is interesting. Living in the land of Menards, I've been taking advantage of having the 11% at the Home Depot just down the road, especially lately since Menards replaced all their tools with Chinese garbage.

I've been looking at a Milwaukee item that's only available for ship to home or ship to store and trying to figure out a way to get the 11%. It says on the rebate form it's valid for "in stock" items only so that seems to be open to interpretation. I went to the service desk the other day and was told that it won't be accepted if I buy online for pickup in store. She also said that I can't order it, return it, and buy it right back in store -- apparently it goes into a "different inventory" when you return an online order.

So my question to you is a) have you actually had it work? and b) if yes, can you expand on the process in store? How do you go about getting an in-store receipt on something you bought online?

Thanks!

1) yes, others have confirmed on here as well. (Though I suppose anything is possible to change, look how fast Lowe's is crapping on themselves).
Special order items in stores arent suppost to be eligible, but I've got it on the couple things I've ordered that way.

2) pick up, ask for receipt if they don't offer. Submit receipt info for rebate. When you buy something online for in-store pickup, the sale is actually conducted on an in-store register (at least according to your receipt).

Yes, if an item was sent to you (at home) or an item picked up in-store that is not carried in store, will go back to an online warehouse (and can't be repurchased in store). This is why online reps can't adjust store related sales (up to that management descretion). Occasionally you will get a dinglehopper that returns a special order item without a receipt, and that's how those one-off items end up in-store (shouldn't be).

So does it make a difference that the item I want to get the 11% on isn't carried in stores?

I was looking for a compact portable metric-only socket set to keep in my truck. It's strange that HD doesn't carry their socket sets, but I suppose it would take a bite out of Husky.

also what date is on the reciept when you buy something online and have it shipped to store? is it the date that you made the purchase online or the date that you picked it up in store? I know the 11% off rebate is only certain dates

So after watching some comparison videos I will be getting the M18.

I'd you go in-store today, have them match one of your Surges to InternationalTool. Shows up at $129 in cart. I matched their $119 price for the Fuel 3/8 ratchet w/ free battery yesterday in store, so ~$82 for the ratchet.

IT also has the One-Key radius light down to $199, $179 in cart (still $350 on many sites, HD included). Bought one of those through HD as well yesterday.

Just curious, but do you need to do it in store or can the online chat do it? Haven't done a price match before.

I def don't need another 2.0 so would have to be the best way to unload it besides reselling.

In store if you want to return the battery, otherwise online can match it under the bundle sku where you get the free battery, but won't be able to return battery.

Where did you see the fuel ratchet for $119, it shows $139 for me?
