There are a few M12 items at Acme tool on 1 day sale today. Anyone ever use the right angle impact driver 2467-21? I'n the past I've almost grabbed an Ingersol Rand pneumatic one in 3/8 drive but they were super expensive. anyone know how the M12 units compare to the IR ones? Looking at the specs it say 600 in/lbs so I'm thinking this doesn't work well for automotive use?

Link to todays deals:
https://www.acmetools.com/shop/Sear...Type=G&categoryId=&searchTerm=MILW1DAYDEC2019

I have the right angle impact driver.. I put a 1/4" adapter in it and use it with 1/4" sockets. Not alot of power, but it'll run nuts/bolts in and out very fast. Perfect for splash sheilds, bumper covers on cars, small stuff, etc.. I have the 1/4" ratchet which is a lot slower but will break loose most 10mm bolt head stuff on its own.

Ha ha!! After missing the grease gun at tool up, I checked cpo and they had the same deal; I typed away, racing the clock and completed the purchase at 10:57pm CDT (moments before the mid nite Eastern time deadline!)

Quoting myself to add that even though I "beat the deadline" by three minutes; the starter battery kit was NOT included in my order, according to the online confirmation. I gave them a call and, apparently, three minutes is not enough time for their system to complete the automated process without their automated deadline clock timing out(!)
So I was not getting the starter kit through the normal process. After a few minutes, the young lady confirmed that they would make good on the deal and I would get email confirmation of another order, just for the free battery.
W00T! (edit: got the confirmation within ten minutes)

Also, The free starter kit offer expired 12/05 at CPO and other places, but it lives on through today 12/06 at ACME and through the 8th at Tool Barn

If you bought an M18 battery online, how "old" would cause you to send it back for being "too old"?

We all want them as fresh as possible, but what's the cut point, where it's worth the effort to return?

Anyone know does Milwaukee have the serial number inside the tools at all. The stickers are a joke and wear off easily. I have atleast 4 tools bought in last 3 years wear the serial right off. I have receipts but someone mentioned to me Milwaukee wouldn't warranty the tool since serial was not able to be read. My Drywall gun's clutch most likely needs to be replaced serial number wore off but tool is only 3 years old. Wonder what happens for tools that been out longer than 5 years and have that issue.

Probably 18 months. Save your receipt and you've got full warranty. Also they can't tell what batteries came in what kits if you later buy a kit that would have included said battery

So e-service has a box you can check for serial number illegible. I've never had to use this option but it's gotta happen all the time.

I'd include a note explaining only because they CAN code anything as "customer goodwill" and it MIGHT help. OTOH I suspect most notes are never read.

Good, thanks. I called Milwaukee on my just-arrived, 1-year-old battery purchase via Amazon. Rep said: "if it's from Amazon, warrantee starts from the time the battery was made, not the time you bought it. If you buy from HD, then we'll accept your receipt as the start of your warrantee."

Problem is, the 1-year-old 3.0 HO I bought from Amazon has a warrantee of 2 years...

So my "free" starter kit packages one M18 compact battery, one M12 4.0ah both came with the largest of the soft side tool bags, wasn't even expecting it.

But just maybe I wasn't paying attention either :lol_hitti

Cripes easily big enough to put my 2621 recip saw in, also my 2731 circular saw.

Soo now curious about the recent M12 grease gun deal. Does the 2.0 M12 starter kit include the larger storage bag too? :headscrat.

Mine was a kit when I bought it way back when so it came with a flat soft side zippered storage case specific for the tool.

Yep, that is the way it works. That is why you buy from an authorized retailer for batteries if you can. I'd imagine the battery will last much longer than the warranty period anyways.

Wow I didn't even realize the 3.0 Compact has been out on the market for full year now

Hehe all you guys must be at HOOME DEPOT today :D

Never catch me in store at least not this time of year

According to Stuey's ToolGuyd post today
ACME has $25 off $150 purchase Promo code: 25MILWAUKEE

(of course there are money plenty of deals on some of other color tools too

https://toolguyd.com/dewalt-milwauk...fE8fC4V7SdAZXwhcRAfQSIfo3wkSgLnoNKs95KypwJXng

Speaking of Home Depot there was a Black Friday deal last weekend on the M12 brushed SDS rotary hammer drill that completely sold out fast. It was for a bare tool 2412 and included a 4.0ah battery starter kit all for $129. The bare tool price alone is usually $149 and the XC starter kit with tool bag lists for $119 at Home Depot website

So they have sweetened up that tool pot right now with a 2416-21XC deal. :D

That's the Brushless FUEL version usually list for $249 regular price on that XC kit but right now is $100 off so just $149 with a 4.0 AH battery/charger/tool bag offer

There is also a -22 kit of the tool with free 6.0ah battery for $279 @ Home Depot too. And ACME TOOLS has that same -22 kit listing for $299 and for $274 today with their 25MILWAUKEE offer but has no xtra 6.0 offer. Just an FYI on that

Few details regarding this. You will probably need to select a store that does not carry it in-store, otherwise the price will be $199. Which is the normal price. It was never $249. It did get up to $219 or maybe $229, but never $249.

I bought several earlier this year when you got a free M18 grinder with the kit, and now thinking it was $229 then, and after the promo it dropped back to $199.

Good deal nonetheless

LOL I have no need for one either but I want something in the M18 platform for an SDS drill.

Surprisingly at least to me is that there is an M18 version listed with approx. the same specs.

The 2612 non Fuel is 5/8" bit rated, has the just the 2 modes settings of drill and rotary hammer function, and RPM/IPM is just slightly higher than the M12 FUEL....

0-1,300 RPM and 0-7,000 BPM 2612
0 -900 RPM and 0-6,200 BPM 2416 Fuel

The M12 FUEL is a step up from the M12 2412 brushed version @ 0-800 RPM and 0-5,300 BPM

The M18 2612 bare tool looks to be listed for slightly over $200. A -21 single XC battery kit about $100 more.

I was checking the bare tool option online seems to be out stock/unavailable most places (now couldn't say what's up with that :dunno:)

But a discount offer could bring it under $200 though

Pretty much $300+ is where bare tool pricing starts for some of the larger chuck sizes And big XC kits are easily double that price :spit:

I for one would also like to have a larger M18 version especially one with a chipping function :D but the pricing structure escalates quickly as you get into the larger chuck sizes. IMO the economics there almost dictate going with corded especially for run duration.

For my needs right now a 5/8" chuck will suffice

they're doing this more and more, I think it's a cheap way to fill out both lines by reusing parts of a design. the m12/m18 surges, m12 fuel/m18 fuel hackzalls are the other ones, maybe more

You will find similar designed tools in both lineups are quite common. Oscillating tools, also RA drills and impact drivers, grease guns, jig saws even the band saw. Often times performance specs are quite similar too.

Just good optional marketing IMO. Sometimes not everyone wants to be on both platforms.

I have both and more often than not when I'm out on job I sometimes find myself wishing I could just use either battery on a tool :lol_hitti

My BT speaker is like that...and love it that way! :D

Mine shows $199 with tool and battery/charger. @$169 I would buy half dozen of these to compliment our M18 versions. These smaller ones will be great for Tapcons. I have been picking up more M12 tools lately as they seem to perform pretty well.

I changed stores and it was available as $149. When I put in cart it kept going to $199 though. After a few tries it finally held at $149. I got 3 with "express delivery" for a grand total of $502 with tax. We will see if I actually get them today as promised. Thanks for posting, this seems pretty good, hopefully the tool holds up to our uses.

I'm very curious about this, as someone mentioned in a post that Home Depot prices may be different depending on certain factors,

And I just looked again and for me the price is the same as I bought one for on Saturday Here is that same online link I posted earlier for that FUEL SDS2416XC kit @ $149.34

Who else sees it at that price :headscrat

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ickid=XDbzF8SBTxyJRhKwUx0Mo38SUknyhBXl33faUQ0

This is really weird to me as personally I have not experienced a linked Home Depot deal showing up at various prices before. My store is in VT

See my post above. I changed my zip code from my work to my home and it came up $149. I just purchased an additional 6 plus a couple M12 battery packs to be shipped regular to my office for a total of 9. I've been slow to get the M18 version since they are pretty pricey. I had a guy call for one and all I had left was a corded drill. I had to go searching for cords it's been so long :willy_nil:eyecrazy: We have maybe 6 of the M18 with vacs. @ $300+ just for drilling tapcons they are overkill.

I have had other great deals from HD canceled because they couldn't fulfill the order though. Will see if this goes through.

How well does the M12 sds drill work? I understand it isn’t a 18V tool. But just curious. Is it basically a tapcon drill or can you use it for more?

Yessir. Thank you for the post!

I have way too many Milwaukee tools. My rep comes by with some crazy awesome deals that are hard to pass on sometimes.

The last year they have been running a lot of buy 3 or 4 of a tool and get 1 free + their standard promo.

I think my best deal was when I bought (4) M18 complete 12 Ton KO kits with 4" dies ($1700ea), got one free, plus their promo included an M18 2804 kit for each one purchased.

I sold some of the kits to fellow contractors because I didn't need another 5 of them. Kept all the battery hammer drill kits and was able to purchase some bare impact drivers for pretty cheap to make complete drill/driver kits for just the cost of the bare impact.

Is this a good deal? https://www.tooltopia.com/milwaukee-2595-22.aspx

The M12 FUEL™ 1/4" Hex Impact Driver (2453-20)
The M12 FUEL™ 3/8" Impact Wrench (2454-20)
(2) M12™ REDLITHIUM™ 2.0 Compact Battery Packs
for $229.00

I'm just getting into Milwaukee for DIY mechanic and home work.

Last week I bought the M12 Hammer Drill / Impact Driver combo for $179. This included an extra 2 Ah battery, in addition to the kit's 2 Ah and 4 Ah batteries.

I wonder if I'm better off going with the mechanic's kit and then buying the hammer drill as a standalone tool when I need it? The problem is I'll have no XC batteries, which may be required for the impact wrench?

*Edit*: I just realized the kit doesn't include the stubby, so it's probably not as good of a deal as I though.

Agreed, the Stubby is the only 3/8” impact wrench I want in my toolbox.

I would stick with your kit. The 1/4" impact you got with a 3/8" adapter will get most of the work done around the house. If you are going to use for mechanic stuff, you really need the 18v impact imo. The 3/8" impact you listed is only good for 116 ft lbs which isn't far off the 1/4" impact you just got.

It's common. Those $350 workbenches we all got needed a store in GA

The $100 2135 work lights needed a store(s) in NY

And the last rash where I spent way too much on the M18 planer, BOTH sizes of the Hawgs, the polisher and other stuff I can't even remember (edit: the Fuel portaband) were region-specific (it's usually a given district, not ONE store, but the workbenches were just one specific store IIRC, and it was very near the Paces Ferry mothership)

The hex impact isn't nearly as torquey as the 3/8" in my experience. WIth that said you'll probably want the 1/2" impact for larger jobs. I have the lower torque fuel 1/2" impact of the two and I have not yet found a thing it cannot break free. Including axle nuts on my C5 which are supposed to be torqued over 300 ft/lbs if I recall. Knocked it off w/o an issue. I actually rarely use my 3/8" impact. I mostly use that 1/4" hex driver for any non auto work and the 1/2" impact for auto work (removing lug nuts, tie rods, axle nuts, etc). As stated the 1/4" hex w/ a 3/8" adapter will easily break free most non chassis/suspension related bolts and is what I'll normally use. All of mien are fuel items btw.
