All of today's deals of the day on Milwaukee:

https://www.homedepot.com/SpecialBuy/SpecialBuyOfTheDay

Thanks for that linkup this morning!

I’m looking for the best deal on the M18 drywall gun, only “deal” I see is at HD with the free 5.0 starter kit (that deal says it ends today)

https://www.homedepot.com/p/310736224

I don’t really need any more batteries

CPO has the 15% off still...the bare tool there would be $126 & change after discount.

I did get the 2866CT kit for $159.20 at ACME a while back was the best kit price I had seen

So the price on the 2866 drywall screwdriver with 5.0AH starter kit has been reduced $30 today from the $199 it was to $169 on the Special Buy of the Day.

That temporarily closes down the gap somewhat with just a 15% bare tool only purchase @CPO

So about a $44 difference right now

Funny how these sales come on when you start looking at Milwaukee stuff from HD

It's almost like they're watching you or something :lol_hitti

Have to admit the 49-22-4029 Hole Saw Kit for $35 today is cheap enough. Its all the same sizes as the Blu Mol Journeyman set I have had for ages and that one is listed $90 at HD right now

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...al-Hole-Saw-Set-17-Piece-49-22-4029/305073694

https://www.homedepot.com/p/BLU-MOL...i-Metal-Hole-Saw-Kit-13-Piece-D9596/205583170

I did get the 21 pc 49-22-4171 set of hole saws that's currently offered for just about $70 to add the larger sizes up to 5" to my old set. Minimal overlap really and rounds out a couple of the smaller sizes too

Good deal...for me :D

That was posted a couple of days ago

Noncompact is better for the reasons you stated if size is not an issue, but you don’t want a noncompact poking your back in a heated jacket. But if using noncompact, just use a 4.0 or 6.0 unless you got the lower power noncompacts free in a kit.

The XC's could be very uncomfortable in a jacket. Compacts are nice in small tools for the larger stuff I prefer M18 anyway.

I got an email from Red Tool Store (Toolup) this morning that the $25 off $100 Milwaukee was back today.

I've got a friend shopping for the M18 RO sander so I mocked up a cart w the sander (2648-20) and an Inkzall to put it at $100.34. Tried to apply the MIL25 and it just says "your items don't qualify for this code." Ok, whatever. I think maybe it thought the Inkzall was a "sale" item but I'm not pursuing it any further.

He wound up getting the sander plus two M18 4.0's for $179 at HD today. If the 4.0 thing confuses you, it confuses me too. I don't understand why they're even still making them, and then when they're lumped into deals like this I always think they're trying to clear out existing stock, except next year they'll be back again....

But for what he does the 4.0s will be fine

I got the same email. Tried to order my stubby again and their site says that the "MIL25" code can not be applied to that tool. :headscrat

I think that whoever sends out those emails is not communicating very well with the people that actually run the site.

no, super sawzall 2722 + 8.0 was 170 a few weeks ago at international tool

250 does about match the ebay price for 2722 + a separate 8.0 battery, so by that measure it's ok since you get the full 5/3 year warranty I guess

What do you think the likely hood of that amazing deal coming back? I'm betting close to 0%. The sale last quarter was $200 on the new saws, then bumped back to $250 with free battery this quarter.

If you can get a cashier to take 10% off the saw (or some seem to be in the holiday spirit and could go up to $50), then I'd for sure jump. Otherwise you have until beginning of February to buy at most retailers.

If you don't get any discount, or can't go in, then you vest bet is ordering from an online retailer that doesn't charge tax in your state (though those seem to be slim pixkings lately)

it's not likely

my "deal" metric is "does this beat the price you can get every single day on ebay from reputable kit splitters," and at 250, it doesn't

I bought that a couple months back when they had it with the 2-2.0 AH batteries. Haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. I loved my DeWalt and it looks like the same exact tool.

Trying to get the Home Depot $199 promo for the M18 battery starter kit, plus one free tool for $199. Went to my local HD today and they showed five of the starter kits in stock and three of the sawzalls.

Hard to imagine their inventory is that far off, but the guy that was helping me couldn't find any of it. He did say there was a truck there that would be unloaded tonight, but who knows if that's really the case. Any input/ideas on how to proceed with this? This is the only store within sixty miles of me. Really want to get this from HD, because I have a $100 gift card.

I'm not surprised at the incorret inventory. Happens here all the time here. Like last month I went looking for a Milwaukee Rover light. One store showed 12 in stock. Got someone to help look for them & they couldn't find them. Finally found out they were still on a pallet but the pallet didn't show a location like it should have. Went to the next store that showed 8 in stock, same thing they couldn't find it. Ended up just ordering online for store pick up. Same for some Dewalt bits. Only store around me that carries them shows 5 in stock for 3 months now but they still don't have any.

So that would be my suggestion of they still can't find them. Order online for store pick up. That will force someone to track em down or have one shipped there. Or ship to home, would most likely be free but HD's shipping is slow, more so now being the holidays. Promo should still work online. I believe you can use gift cards online but not store credit (cards).

Emphasis on "slow." I could not find the two-pack of the 3.0Ah HO in the store so ordered it on Dec 7 with ship to store. Latest estimate is that they'll have it to the store for pickup on Dec 27!

What is a good deal on the 2598-22 M12 Fuel hammer drill/impact kit? The deal at Acme for 179 right now is the best available at the moment but I feel like that is the normal price? Maybe my mind is skewed a bit from all the recent sales. CPO and a few other sellers also have the new 2598-22PO which gives you a packout case but you get 2x 2.0 batteries instead of 1x2.0 and 1x4.0XC and it is 100 dollars more. I think I'd prefer the soft case and larger battery for 10 dollars less at this point.

If you don't need it asap, that always yo-yos back down to $199 with a free tool, bringing the soft case kit to $133 if bought with a $99 tool under promo. If you want I now, the $179 is the best price. Buy it at HD, and have them PM somewhere to $179, as the 90 days will bring you into the next set of promotions

On BF, HD had that kit with a free 6.0Ah battery for $200. I unfortunately missed it.

About a week or two, I picked it up from Acme Tools w/ an extra free 2.0 Ah battery for $179. I think I would have rathered pay $200 and got the free 6 Ah, but I'm a light user so I don't know if I really need that large of a battery. Also, keep in mind, depending on where you live, you may not pay taxes when purchasing from Acme Tools.

This might be the best option.

Although it ***** having to pay taxes at HD, returning to places like Acme Tools *****. They understandably don't pay return shipping, but you can't even cancel an order without calling them... However, if you use Paypal, you should be able to get the return shipping covered.

I also want add that somehow a few people on Slickdeals last week were able to price match the HD deal with the free 6.0Ah battery with the $179 2598-22 kit on Acme Tools. I have no idea how they were able to do it because the kit with the free 6.0 Ah battery on HD has a different item #. I tried it myself twice, and had no luck.

Where do you find "reputable kit splitters?" I have a tough time sorting out people splitting up kits vs people selling kits that walked out the door without paying.

Phantom inventory is a common plague but losing any number of expensive tools kits adds up a lot more than losing track of a few bolts. Ordering for pick up in-store is a way to see if they have inventory but not the easiest way to price match.

I had a few ship to store items arrive at the store early yesterday but when I called the store about status they said they don't unload the truck until the evening and wanted me to wait 24 hours for an update. Sounds like product both ship to store and store inventory sits around for a while before being unloaded.

First, that is like 3 different topics, and really not Milwaukee specific either. Many people subscribe hoping to be alerted to deals, not talk. You would probably get better answers in it's own thread, but it posted here...

People who steal, often have little care for how much the tool is worth, and have usually no problem selling for less than market value. Ask if they have multiple available, because if they are splitting kits they most surely will. Ask about other offerings, they will often have it all priced out, where as Mr. 5-fingers won't.

Not sure the intention of the 2nd paragraph. You can't price match items that the store carries in-stock for pick-up. You can have items that have to be shipped to store price matched by chatting online. If there is an item carried in-store but you have shipped to home, the online chat can price match that.

If it is ship to store, then it usually comes in its own box and is shipped almost UPS direct to the store. Once it says they have it, you should be able to pick it up. It means someone scanned that package, and should have sorted it to customer service (if very large it stays in back).

If they tell you they truck ********, tell them to start sorting. Receiving the truck early is really stupid. I can't stand them telling me the inventory # i saw online is based partially off a truck they hasn't been unloaded. If you haven't unloaded it, and verified the contents, any reasonable person would not enter that into inventory. Though they seem to use that excuse more times that i'd like to hear (especially after working retail warehouse)

But a ship to store item is usually not with the regular inventory, and is packed separate. Once you get an email saying it's ready, it really should be ready.

Yeah. They killed my order all together.

"because your item is no longer in stock"

....and never will be? Apparently Milwaukee just shuttered the factory that makes stubbies, eh?

They just don't feel like honoring the order

Whoa dude that really *****

Just checked my email but don't see any correspondences from Toolup about any cancellation as of now

FYI, I just called Toolup and talked to a guy about my order for the stubby....he said they have an order incoming early next week and should be shipping out then.

I just called them on mine and they said that 3/8" stubbys are backordered but are expecting a shipment next week and will be filling my order along with the other things on the order.

They said they would have shipped the other items but due to me using paypal they have to fufill the entire order together.
Fingers crossed i actually get it but maybe using paypal saved some confusion.

Well, I've gotta say, I'm impressed with RedToolStore aka Toolup.

Perusing their site the other day, I noticed that they showed the 2554-20 stubbies back in stock. So, I shot them a quick email and asked if they'd honor the Black Friday price that I'd gotten hosed on.

They actually did it! They had me re-order it for regular price, then they refunded the difference. It arrived today. :)

Any deals on the new m18 wormdrive 7 1/4" circular saw? # 2830-20. Everywhere seems to be the same.

15% off at CPO. could easily have HD match that if you prefer them for whatever reason as well.

slightly better deal w/a 12, that is if you value a 12ah & rapid charger more than $153. probably not your first Milwaukee tool though, if this is what you are looking to buy :lol_hitti

I used my pole saw it this past weekend to prune some cypress trees which needed some help after a windy fall. It worked reasonably well but the shafts are a bit more flexible than I'd like. Still really gets the job done. I imagine anything that long is going to be somewhat flexible.

Also, be careful when you take the chain guard off to clean it out, there is a rubber rub strip in there and I almost lost mine. Actually I think there are 2 and I lost one of them but I'm not sure.

Cant rightly say its a real "deal" deal :D but still the Special Buy 2742-21S or 2742MT at Home Depots is pretty good price even at $329. At least that's the price what I see and if someone notices a better price based on location let us know.

On another Milwaukee page someone claimed they nailed it "in store" for $299 (and quite possibly did easily enough as the box did look a bit beat up too)

So either the M18 palm sander or the M18 OMT your choice comes with the 16ga angle nail gun

2 years ago I grabbed the 2742-21 for $259 (though it did go about $20 lower for a short after that too) and just recently got the 2626-20 OMT with starter kit for $99 so I paid about $20 more combined but did get an xtra battery not to mention ANOTHER charger :eyecrazy:

You guys saw the ACE HARDWARE Milwa add-on sale?

https://www.acehardware.com/departments/tools/milwaukee

So ACE wanting to be a big player in the Milwaukee game hey...well they will get some of the walk in sales.

I don't see too much in the way of any " real deals" though. :dunno: Prices look comparative to many other places the 2131 tower light with 5.0 is $199 just like everywhere else...but the 2494-22 M12 combo kit is 179.99 :wtf:

That's $119 at HD right now and was only $99 on Black Friday :pimpflash

Has anyone ever trie to order online thru ACE? I mocked up an order a week or more ago on a certain and ground shipping was unbelievable outrageous

Heh made TOOLUP look like a bargain :lol_hitti

Edit: I was mistaken, the free tool promo doesn’t end till feb only some of the pre packaged 199 specials end today. These are the items eligible till feb 202196549, 205482388, 202196580, 204463218, 206463133, 304591900, 202043806, 205846390, 205620421, 206395174, 203807106

https://www.homedepot.com/collection/Tools/Shop-All-Milwaukee-M18-Free-Tool-Or-Battery-Promotion/Family-312137322?omsid=310725860Pretty decent percentage off. Some of these specials end today like the fan and the sander. You can split the items for return in store OR online if you don’t need the battery starter set but ou have to order the items separately( not the package deal set), most of you already know the process.

I’ll be picking up the sander and the rover flood light and maybe keeping one of the battery sets.

How do you order seperately to get the deal so you can return one of them?
