Slick is reporting that the M12 750-lumen spotlight is being marked down in *some* HD stores to $35 (from $70). I don't see this online.

Anyone have this light? I have an old makita flashlight, but wanted a new led one. Wondering if its any good? Reviews seem good.

I like it with a non-compact battery. Stands up, easy to hold, bright enough. Great flashlight if you need a larger one. If you want a short distance flood light, obviously it’s not a good choice.

I have one. It's nice and lightweight, is fairly compact overall and has decent light beam. If you need or can use that type of light at the $35 price it be a steal for Milwaukee M12

Is there any rhyme or reason on Home Depot's Milwaukee sales? I got into the m12 platform a couple months back, and am impatiently waiting for a deal on the Surge. And if there has been past deals, what were they?

Lol. Yesterday it was part of deal of the day. $149 for Surge kit + 2x 1.5ah batteries.

****, I saw the webpage, but I missed the M12 surge. I thought that was the standard M12 Fuel impact.

Ya me too :D

wondering if you might be right. I thought it was the Surge, but now you have me thinking the other way.

If that isn't the case, the only deal on the surge (without a generic 10/15% off) would have been the free 6ah battery during the holidays (when I got mine).

sorry for any confusion, but in any case, it was yesterday. no time to cry over spilled milk, well maybe the spilled milk actually, not the surge deal

Thanks guys, it was the impact on sale, and that’s what prompted the question. I guess I’ll give it a few weeks, since it was offered before with the 6amp. Is the Surge worth the extra money?

I have M18 on those currently, yes the Surge is worth the extra money in noise reduction alone.

I also have an M18 that I've used and man do I really like it, it is so much easier on the ears and still has tons of power. AvE did a breakdown and then used it after and didn't like it because he said it was too slow for large scale work but did note that it is a lot quieter. This is one of the few times I feel like he should have ran it before he took it apart.

I snagged the M12 Surge/hammer drill kit recently but haven't had a chance to use them yet. I'm excited to see what the M12 Surge can do.

If you need an impact now I don't know if it is worth it over the regular fuel but if you can get a deal on it, I'd most def go for the Surge. Or if you want the low dBs then totally worth it.

The rigid model that the surge is based off of suffered the same fate under AVE.

Anytime you use hydraulics and you change the fluid you run the risk of not matching the properties correctly and changing the dynamics of the tool.

He's an ape, he ruins a lot of tools.

I know a lot of pros that use both the M18 and M12 Surge everyday. Carpenters, Electricians, gen construction, etc...

If they are professional grade then they should handle abuse.

AvE does breakdowns on the tools and he is rough with them but the point isn't to see if they work well out of the box, the point is to see what they are made of and how they are made. Does he break stuff? Sure. Is he too rough on stuff? Maybe. None of that is the point. It is all about learning.

I don't think he ever got the Rigid unit back together.

Also professional grade is a BS term. Anything subjected to abuse is going to fail from it eventually. Then again, all these tools will eventually wear out and need to be replaced. The type of abuse AvE puts stuff through isn't the kind of thing the tools were meant to suffer through most of the time.

I agree and that's why it's worth watching...but his "reviews" after reassembly should be taken with a grain of salt because he almost always screws something up.

AvE also doesn't work with those tools in the field. Right now the best reviews are coming off of Instagram, but you have to find the right people...because there's a lot of shills out there.

Toolnut is having a great deal right now, with up to $150 off.

Just ordered the 10" dual bevel slider miter saw for $350, normally $500.

There has been some recent discussion in this thread (I think) and the Milwaukee Addition thread about the M12 750 lumen spotlight. At the $99 (I think) previous price tag I wasn't interested, but now it's down to $70 w/w a free cp2.0. I pulled the trigger :)

The big M18 is usually $99 and most recently had a "free" 2.0 battery offer IIRC

For the longest time list on the the M12 Spot (bare tool) was $79 and was free tool offer with many purchases :dunno:

Never was $100. And still not worth it at $70 with free battery imo, maybe $50. Yes, it keeps you with Milwaukee but the light is underwhelming, along the with the M12 black flashlight. For what they could be putting out in those sizes to what they actually put out, is pretty disappointing. (I prefer the Ryobi LED spotlight)

Nice, I grabbed the right angle die grinder myself. Had to pay tax but the discount ate the tax plus some.

I missed this when it was $199 at HD. Just got for $220, only about $5 more after tax. Thank you!
