The surge is so nice. I'm been using my M18 recently, MUCH easier on the ears. It doesn't quit have the same amount of juice but worth the trade off for me for the stuff I use it for. If I was driving huge lags all day or something I might go back to using ear plugs and the regular fuel impact.

Any one have an M12 stubby that they use for lug nuts ? Mine are torqued to 150 lb-ft.

I have a 3/8 stubby and it has no problems taking off lugs torqued to 100ft/lbs and it has taken off axle nuts torqued to 162ft/lbs without issue as well. I always use an XC 6.0 pack with my stubby.

Just a heads up, ToolUp.com has the same Milwaukee light bundle that NorthernTool cancelled on a ton of people. The items on the ToolUp site do say they are special order as they're out of stock at the moment. However, my order went through without issue.

ToolUp
https://www.toolup.com/cyoa-77-milwaukee-lighting-combo-sale

It took them a while, but my order was shipped Friday. Kudos to ToolUp for honoring the order and not just cancelling like NorthernTool. I'm going to have to buy from them again.

I got a ship notice from Toolup on Friday, but it looked like the battery/charger and the M18 light were backordered and they just sent the USB light.

Any deals on m12 batteries? Or is the 2 pack of 1.5mah for 69 as good as it gets? Tried the above coupon code at zoro but didn’t work.

I’ve seen it as low as 56 at slickdeals but may have been a 1 time fluke. Home Depot currently has the 6ah and 3ah extended pack for 99. Not sure if it’s worth it however

How much of a rush are you in? During the last few months of last year, HD had 2packs of cp3.0s for $65ish on a couple occasions. They would pop up on their Deal Of The Day and sell out pretty quickly. If you're not in a rush, something surely better will come along

That is a deal! Thanks. I can wait. Currently just swapping the battery back and forth between my stubby impact and ratchet. Do you just sign up for the deal of the day email to get a drop on when it comes back?

Funny I started out with m18 thinking I would be content. Then milwaukee was sneaky enough to include a m18/m12 in one charger with one of my tools. So I got me a ratchet. Now I think I have as many if not more m12 tools than m18.

I think the 6 and 3 for $99 at Home Depot is a decent buy. I’ve never been able to catch the two 3.0 for $65 deals, always sold out.

Of all the batteries I've got the CP 3.0s are my favorite. I got a 2 pack with a tool purchase at HD and returned the tool. I've been super happy with them. The 5.0 is great for the lights and other things but on the drill/impact the 3.0 has better balance.

I just have the HD app downloaded on my phone and it shows up on the home page of the app. You can also check under the "specials and offers" section, select "tools", then filter by battery platform. Often deals pop up there without being "deal of the day.

When i'm hunting for something specific I'll check daily when I wake up. The really good deals (like the 2x cp3.0) are usually sold out by 9-10am-ish EST

I'm seeing a pair of 3.0 batteries for $80.88

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...attery-Pack-3-0Ah-2-Pack-48-11-2430/301453657

Or with a charger for $89

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ttery-Packs-and-Charger-48-11-2432P/307387577

I think the 3.0 and 6.0 for $99 is still a better deal, especially if one didn't have a 6.0 already.

I just sold two of the M12 6.0 batteries on Craigslist for $150. They were spares from tool combo with free battery earlier in the year. I didn't buy them to flip, but I already have 2 of the 6.0 and one 4.0 so I didn't need two more. I sold a new pair of the M18 6.0 batteries for the same $150.

Well that's a hell of a lot better than two 1.5s for $70 :)

Purely on a per-Ah basis, you're right - ~$13/Ah vs $11/Ah. It's close enough that it will probably come down to personal preference (xc vs cp), use cases, and what your battery inventory looks like. I'm personally happy with the 4.0 and 6.0 in my inventory and am now biased towards CP packs.

Acme's got the 2485 RADG at $149 for a "2 day flash sale". Presently better than anything on eBay....

I also grabbed the 2115 headlamp at $60 (running $58 on eBay) 'cause I've been wanting to try it and it got me over the free shipping threshold.

Acme's getting my sales tax correct, too (Int'l Tool is still dead to me 'cause they charge tax for a city in which I do not reside)

Man I ordered last night and today my order was cancelled. I can’t find a homedepot near me that I can order from. So now I have the Home Depot app that’ll check daily lol

Yeah that deal is in store only... I grabbed a set about a week ago to keep my die grinder fed. I also got a set of 3.0 compact with charger on ebay for $75 so you might want to keep an eye out there. The big 3.0s pop up all the time on FB around here for cheap.

Not sure how good of deal it is, but Fleetfarm has the M12 fuel 3/8" ratchet (bare tool) that comes with a 2ah battery for $129. They also have the m12 Fuel driver/drill kit with a free 6.0 for $199 and a few other deals. It's in their newest flyer (May 29) Coupon code THANKSDAD will get you a $10 gift card.

For some reason Zoro took the 20% coupon on the m18 fuel bandsaw + 6.0 HO battery I had in my cart. So around $269 all in + CA tax.

https://www.zoro.com/milwaukee-cordless-band-saw-120v-blade-44-78-l-2729-20-48-11-1865/i/G3462016/

Slightly better deal than the Home Depot with the 8.0 battery deal at $329.

Fingers crossed they don't cancel this as I thought Milwaukee was excluded from their coupons.

Thanks

I ordered this same day, after you posted, received it within 48hrs!

Bandsaw + 6.0HO battery $269 before CA taxes. Awesome deal.

Great to hear you got one. Played with mine yesterday cutting up a bed frame. Nice to have another choice other than a chop saw, angle grinder or reciprocating saw.

I suspect the only reason this deal was good is they forgot to include Milwaukee in the description (somebody really butchered the description) and hence the coupon was able to be applied when it is normally excluded.

Its a great saw, my coworker has had one for a couple months now. And yeah, the precision, small mess, and quiet operation are a huge benefit.

I tried a couple other Milwaukee tool combos to see if the coupon applied, no go. I consider ourselves lucky. Thanks again.

Do you recall where you got that m28 adapter? I've got one of those saws but no batteries.

I think it's time for a new M18 Drill...My first M18 purchase was a 2602 at least 5 years ago, probably longer. Was drilling a 2" hole saw through some 1/8" steel and it started smoking. Figured that it was too hot, so ran it unloaded for a bit and after 2-3 seconds there was more smoke and glowing red through the vent holes in the back. Brushes are still good so must be something in the armature...

Looks like there are two options in this "class" of drill...

2704 ~7/8" longer, Has light by the trigger (good), different looking chuck and side handle

2804 Newer(?), but is it any better? Shorter (good), light by the battery (bad).

Looking for a high power, long lasting drill. Any reasons to go with one vs the other that I'm missing?

I'll probably buy a M12 (2503?) for small, compact, lighter duty work (pilot holes and such)

Given the above, am considering the below + Hackzall
milwaukee-2999-22-free-hackzall.png

Link to the whole flier...

Maybe this for a smaller M12 drill?

How does one drill going bad turn into 5 tools and $650!

Farm and fleet has the 2997-22 Kit for $399, and you get either the M18 Fuel Hackzall or 8.0 battery free. https://www.farmandfleet.com/products/1138237-milwaukee-2997-22-m18-18v-cordless-lithium-ion-1-2-hammer-drill-1-4impact-drill-combo-with-case-and-charger.html I might ask them if I can upgrade to the Sawzall for the difference in price between the hackzall, as I really feel like I would benefit more from the sawzall.

Only reason I am looking is that my 10yo Bosch drill chuck wearing out, and I am looking for a new setup. Figure I might as well get the latest and greatest, and expect it to last as long as my Bosch did.

Same drill, but I think for $30 I'd get the surge impact vs the regular one and the hackzall is the same. I already have the sawzall and the Hackzall would be handy (so I'm telling my self).

Really all I "need" is a new 1/2" drill, but single tools are relatively high priced compared to the kits. Their sales/pricing/marketing strategy is working!

Neu's is more local than Farm & Fleet.

I have 2 New Sawzalls and a New Hackzall.

Here's how that happened. Decided I was going Yellow > Red

Got the Sawzall, when I got it, it was way to big for what I normally do. So got the smaller Sawzall. Then saw the Hackzall and realized it might work for most of what I normally do.

Turns out, I use the hell out of the Hackzall, never have used the two Sawzalls. The 18v Fuel Hackzall is the handiest thing I have ever had.

MUST HAVE TOOL!

Now you know what you have to do. Quit screwing around!

I went with the non-surge because I want the power. But I was in the same boat you are, and really only needed a 1/2" drill as my 10yo Bosch drill chuck wore out, and a replacement included a new gearbox assy and was $78 (f#ck you too Bosch!!). And Bosch didn't have anything power wise that compared to the Milwaukee, so Red it is!!

I tried to sweet talk the sales associate into letting me upgrade to the Sawzall, but no dice. And the manager I am friends with wasn't working, so I now own the Hackzall. It does seem handy, but I know I will be lusting after the Sawzall for a while. With that being said, lmk if you want to sell yours!!
