Am I the only one that hasn't seen the free battery deals in store (home depot) in a while? Missed the deal a few days ago on the deep cut band saw and really would like one soon for some projects. Best I can find is the HD $329 with a 8.0AH battery. It would be nice to be able to use a military discount and return the battery, or am I missing a better deal out there?

I just ran across the compact router with free 5a batt. Think I’m gonna pull the trigger

Well, I'm glad I waited. HD has some 24 hour special buys today including the deep cut portaband for $279 with an 8ah battery. Fuel grinder with battery is $149. Not the best deal ever, but the best deal right now.

Not surprised, the portaband was a good deal

I grabbed the 12.0 + 6.0 + Rapid Charger at $229. Seemed like a decent deal for what it is.

I was tempted by the Super Charger and 8.0 but I'll wait. I don't really need the Super but I'll still get one eventually

I ordered the bandsaw, now I'm kicking myself for not ordering a grinder too. Anyone know of a cheap case that works for the saw?

Not sure how good of deal it is, but Fleetfarm has the M12 fuel 3/8" ratchet (bare tool) that comes with a 2ah battery for $129. They also have the m12 Fuel driver/drill kit with a free 6.0 for $199 and a few other deals. It's in their newest flyer (May 29) Coupon code THANKSDAD will get you a $10 gift card.
https://www.fleetfarm.com/sitewide/weeklyAd.jsp

Did anyone else order the ratchet deal? The free battery was shown in my cart with a zeroed price, but then during checkout it disappeared. It was not shown on the order confirmation email, and I only received the ratchet. I've called Fleet Farm and they're looking into it.

Do you have a link for the router deal? I missed out on it last time

Did anyone get the email from Toolup about a free headlamp with any Milwaukee purchase over $199? There was no promo code and it's not just automatically happening in the cart, at least for me. I even clicked thru their email

So you are publicly admitting to scamming HD? Seems like a smart move.
if HD didn't want this to happen they wouldn't list fractional return prices (some deals don't). But they do, year after year, fractional returns are allowed. it's deliberate, not a loophole

Doing a split order like this and cancelling the batteries is actually good for them because it saves time returning the batteries. it's otherwise the same as picking everything up and returning part. I try to do it when I can

Ohh interesting...sorry for the unwarranted callout then!! They do assign a value to the vacuum cleaner in case this does happen...now I get it.

no problem - there is a closely related scam, where you buy a combo, then try to return parts of it without a receipt for their full price. that's cheating

btw the 2131 m18 rocket light is $130 after battery return... been wanting that for a while, probably going to give in. it's part of the 8.0/6.0/charger + tool promo

I know you already responded, but I swear this is a pretty common practice I've read about probably a hundred times over in this thread. Didn't feel like a scam. Also wanted to say that I did complete one order where I didn't cancel the batteries and then one where I did. I've been eyeing the multi-tool forever, so grabbed that one with the batteries.

It doesn’t look like the router is sold in any stores.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just checked and about 90% of the stores in my area show they have 1-3 of them in stock. Being part of a deal it's normal for them to go in and out of stock, especially something pretty new that it's one of the first times it's on sale.

My HD has the router and 5.0 battery in stock but when you ring them up it doesn’t take the $99 off for the battery. Has this worked for anyone?

2many,

I'm a little surprised this was posted. I say that because 1 person was able to buy according to the Woot map. I almost want to suggest not posting woot milwaukee battery deals, as I haven't seen more than 1 or 2 units ever available per day posting, BUT a deal is a deal

These do go quick, I have posted the deals before. The Woot emails usually come twice a day, at like 2:00 in the morning and at lunch time. The battery deals seem to always come on the one in the middle of the night. I have actually scored on this 2 x 5.0 deal, but it was a day that I was up real early in the morning and saw the email.

I think you are right that it is kind of a low inventory teaser to get you on the site. But, like many other deals posted in Hot Deals, the early bird often gets the worm. A classic example is Duker's Saturday am posts in Amazon Non-Tool.

And as you say a deal is a deal!

I've seen a few sold at one time. But even if it only ended up being one set I don't see why it shouldn't get shared here to maybe help even one person get a deal. It didn't warrant its own thread. But I don't see it as being any different than the amazon warehouse deals that get posted and seem to be very popular when they get shared here.

That's why I ended the post the way I did. I always thought woot got like a pallet of stuff to sell at a time, not onsies and twosies. Amazon warehouse deals are assumed to be one or two usually.
Funny though, you saw it before it was gone. And if I saw it, I would have posted, but not bought.

CPO is doing 15% off select items (but there's like 83 choices) of metalworking and automotive Milwaukee as a Father's Day sale.

Most of the stuff is just standard internet retail but I stumbled upon the BIG metal cutting circular 2982. This is pretty much $400 all over the web (-20 tool only of course) but they were already at $380. Another 15% took it down to $323, so I ordered. CPO is also at least on their game for sales tax as I was taxed correctly (unlike International Tool)

CPO can be tricky w sales, sometimes you gotta click-thru their emails, which is how I knew about it. So check your inbox and spam.

*** My bad thought this was the regular Milwaukee thread. ***

For all you who are still on the fence about the M18 chainsaw go ahead and take the plunge. I by no means are saying it’s a replacement for heavy chainsaw applications however it works awesome for what it was designed for. I cut up a tree that fell at my aunts house today. It was around 10”-12” in round and had 3 big upright branches that fell. I was using a 12ah battery. It worked awesome!!!! Super impressed. Plenty or power and very light and quite. The first picture was before and the second/third was after the first 12ah battery went dead. Would recommend all day long. Used a total of 3-12ah batteries and cut a bunch of stuff up with that. Very impressed.

Thanks for the post on the ratchet. Been eyeballing them for years and now finally got one. Wished I’d had one last weekend during some airbag installs.

Just realized I had a Home Depot 15% moving coupon after I signed into Homedepot.com that could be stacked on top of the Milwaukee special buys. I thought these were long gone? Next time around to get another coupon maybe I'll have to move back in with my parents?!?

Finally bought into the quick lock system. Picked up the base, 8.0 HO, battery pole saw, extension, edger, and hedge trimmer. Basically everything except the trimmer attachment since I already have a V1. All in $597 + coupon was $507, less 5% Discover Card Cash back + self inflicted 9% CA sales tax. Without the 15% coupon the $597 worth of bundled kits seemed like a semi decent deal, with the coupon it was a great deal.
