Just realized I had a Home Depot 15% moving coupon after I signed into Homedepot.com that could be stacked on top of the Milwaukee special buys. I thought these were long gone? Next time around to get another coupon maybe I'll have to move back in with my parents?!?

The 15% coupons can be bought on ebay and other sites for around $25. Much cheaper than moving.

I was about to say, a link would be helpful, but does look like you did try. Try cleaning up the link back to the item #.

If you need batteries, it's not a horrible deal, but ideally you shouldn't be paying more than $10 an amp hour.

Acme is doing 15% off reconditioned tools - anyone have any experience with reconditioned? Worth the price savings for a hobbyist? Was thinking of snagging an M18 Surge driver and fuel 6 1/2" circular...comes to $242/shipped with the sale.

Savings aren't enough to make up for the shortened warranty. Instead of a 5 year warranty on the tool, you get a 1 year warranty on reconditioned tool. Too many deals for new to give up 80% of the warranty IMO.

Better off buying used with warranty left

Any idea how to make that happen on 12.0s? They're ~$172 on eBay. HD just had 'em at $189 so I don't understand why secondary market is $15 less. I'll just buy new from HD with that

I've had good experiences with recon. Tools are probably gonna die in the first year or last over 5 years anyway.

I bought my Fuel Sawzall reconditioned from CPO and haven't had any issues with it. I couldn't tell it apart from a new tool when I bought it.

Admittedly, it doesn't get a lot of use, but that's partly why I was ok with the recon.

I ordered the reconditioned 6 1/2" Fuel circular saw last night. It was a little over $100 less than new. I think for my level of use itll be perfect.

I have bought some recon including my first one about 10 years ago — which is still in service. I have had only 1 failure, an M18 multi tool a year ago when it was just over a year old. That $100 loss caused me to stop buying tools that could be worthless in less than 5 years. I’ll wait for a sale on a new tool with 5 year warranty.

Any deals on the new framing nailer yet;2745-20?

While there won't be specific deals on the framer, your best bet is a 10/15% off coupon. I scored mine on pre-order with a $50 off whatever it was, so mine was $299. But you won't see free this or that with purchase until at least they have plenty of stock, and they have a reason to. Such high demand for the nailer, it seems they could get by for a while not having it on promo

Acme has the (newish) 8" metal saw on sale for $349. The thing looks like a beast, I love my 5-3/8" (and it's one of my only non-fuel tools), I can't wait to try the 8"!

Milwaukee 48-22-9486T PACKOUT Trays for Socket Sets

Has anyone seen these in person and if so will a regular Proto or Craftsman set fit these trays?

I have a couple of the slimline Packout cases and my old socket sets are now in Milwaukee bags on rails. These look like a far better solution.

It looks like international tool has 20 percent off all Milwaukee, except if it includes a free battery.

Thanks just scored a stubby impact. Discount showed up in cart. $180 was a bit much but $143 doesn't seem as bad.

That 20% off is dangerous, works on pre-order and back-order items as well. I'm about to buy one too many tools with this 20% off sale. Wait, is there such a thing?

Also, CPO has a bundle kit for the new die grinders where you get both for 300. Not as good as buying them individually for 20% off each but if you could get a discount on the bundle it would be great.

Never mind, I hesitated and now I don't get 20% off. Either they changed the back order thing or they 20% off ended already?

Yeah, I’m not seeing it. I was eyeballing that new 3/8” right angle impact.

I should have pulled the trigger on it immediately, but I was busy making BBQ sauce and getting my dry rub mixed/onto the ribs for today. When will I learn to not sleep on those kind of deals?

I was eyeing the EXACT same tool.

Home Depot had them both for $299 also. Not sure if it still does.

Makes sense, rumors are there's a new brushless OMT coming from Milwaukee.

They run these promos all the time. Been rumors of a brushless version for several years. So while yes more and more likely every year it doesn't happen, but just a rumor/myth until it appears.

Saw this at the local depot. Slightly cheaper than the best price I am seeing at Acme. Of course I pulled the trigger already a few weeks ago.

How does the m12 compare to the m18? Apparently the m18 is skookum as frig.

Are u referring to a specific tool? I fought to stick with m18 for a long time but eventually gave in to buy the ratchet and now the stubby impact. Which are now my favorite tools. Though my m18 hammer drill and impact are still my most used around the house.

I assume the grease gun since the M12 version was brought up in the previous post. Also AvE recently reviewed the M18 grease gun and had good things to say about it. "Skookum as frig" is one of the saying he's made popular in the circles that watch him.

Im only 35 but my o my i use to make fun of my dad for wanting lighter tools. I will carry a m18 tools if i need to but im finding myself use m12 stuff if its the same tool. I have a john deere 550c think cat d5 and a bobcat along with some trailers that i need to grease. I figure the m12 would suit me as im not doing it every day, but i do it enough where it would be nice to get grease flowing through the tough zerks on the dozer. Skookum as frig must be a so-cal thing we dont use it up North.

Just a friendly reminder, this is the deal thread. Of course talk about deals, but there are tool thread that often already cover this.

But for the grease gun, it is really a hard call. 90% will be fine with m12, as it is in between the M18 settings as far as pressure is concerned. So like most that don't grade regularly enough, the m12 will definitely make things more enjoyable and not make greasing a 2 man job (without locking fittings etc).
Now, if you are doing larger equipment or maybe older farm implements, you want the m18. Need the low speed for higher pressure on plugged fittings, and high speed for those large fills. And on large equipment, it often gives you the pump amount in the manual, which you can set on the m18.

If this is for homeowner, you will be fine with m12. If you are Tim Taylor home owner or have have large equipment, grab the m18
