HD Milwaukee Special of the Day (again)

https://www.homedepot.com/SpecialBuy/SpecialBuyOfTheDay

Working on increasing my light collection before PGE shuts off our power here again. Got the M18 ROVER Dual Power Flood Light and M18 ROVER Mounting Flood Light + free battery and charger for $229 to compliment my pair of tower lights. Seemed like a good deal.

The Special Buys keeps teasing me with the M12 1/4 extended fuel ratchet. Really don't need another set of ratcheting wrenches though...

Question for you guys not sure if this is the correct place to ask. Has anyone seen a sale on the string trimmer? Particularly buy the string trimmer and get the edger attachment free (like what they do with power too deals)?

I want a M18 Impact driver for taking wheels on/off. Where is the best deal? Do I need 1/2" or will 3/8" be enough?

Depends on vehicle & rust. 3/8" m12 right angle wrench *can* take off my nuts off 4runner under right conditions, and that's rated up to 220 ft lbs.

Now you can get 600 ft lbs in ⅜" in m18 mid-torque. I have my m18 impacts in ½", and m12 in ⅜".

My M18 fuel 3/8" impact wrench can take lug nuts off my car very easily. I never reach for my pneumatic impact wrench anymore.

Mid Torque is your answer, not necessarily drive size. I have stubby, mid, and High. I would carry the mid.

For the jigsaw question -

Is this the same model that hd has with a two pack of 4.0 batteries for $199 in the 4Q promos?

Need to get the Fuel barrel handle jigsaw, anyone see anything better than $199 @ Acme Tool?

I have been watching it since MARCH, never saw better than $199

I used the $25 Ebay coupon last month and grabbed one.

I really like it.

No rust. VW Alltrack.

I've been pretty happy with my M12 stubby in 3/8". I use it on my 4Runner and other equally sized rigs. It's a little slow on the stubborn ones, but I've never not had one come off. I like the size of it as I can take it with me on road trips and it's actually saved me one time. Nice changing tires on the side of the road when you have an impact wrench on ya, lol.

Are there any deals for the M12 Crown Stapler currently? I believe I missed the deal since they took it off as one of the free items with the M12 2 4.0Ah battery pack deal. Thanks.

You want 4ah batteries not 2ah with the inflator. 2ah are good for low draw light use.

any deals out there for the right angle die grinder? Got some jobs coming up where it would be nice to use instead of the pneumatic one.

Where do I find this? Got a link?

Hope you weren't in the cockpit! I apologize for the crude humor, thank you for your service!

This can only be done in-store, as I mentioned before. If you want to keep the ratchet, still a decent price on that too. Online the price has gone back to $329.

Buy the fuel kit w/ ratchet, return ratchet. In-store. Comes to $140. Worth the premium. Perhaps you want the more basic, totally get that too.

I did the ratchet return on the M12 Surge today, got the Surge with case, two 2.0 batteries, and charger for $115 plus tax. I want a M12 drill, but I don’t want a hammer drill in that size.

Is it the combo set or did you add separately?

I just got the Surge separately. The Surge combo kit with the drill is $299 and I don’t specifically want the 2504 hammer drill. The Surge only kit and 3/8” non fuel ratchet was $199 and the ratchet returned for $85. I will add the 2503 non hammer drill when I find a deal, or get mad enough to buy the combo kit that includes the 2504 and sell off the impact and batteries because it’s on sale, probably $145 after returning the ratchet, and maybe sell the impact and batteries/charger for $100 making the drill $45.

If you buy online, they have to be purchased separately for the return trick to work. In store it is always 2 items in the cart, not 1 in a combo box.
