Damn wish there was a store close to me I’d be all over that. Been wanting one of these just can’t seem to drop the money on one for full price.

Website still shows 2 at Evansville, IN store.

Thanks, looks like people just grabbed them. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a shipping option and it's too far for me.

Looks like the website is working again, though.

^I just did that order. It wouldn't work during checkout, so I opened a chat. Took a few minutes but the customer service representative gave me a choice of him checking me out as a guest and hi
m manually adjusting the price, or me completely the order and him crediting me back the full amount of the "free one".

The 2680 grinder is pretty bad. My dad has one and it's fine for light work but it really doesn't have much oomph whatsoever.

I went to the store and after 30 minutes customer service nor the assistant manager could do anything. They offered me 50% off of the battery which is no where close to the special buy discount. They ended up calling homedepot.com and basically they said it was an online only deal and that their system was down and they couldnt do anything (one sales associate said he couldnt check his schedule online and the girl said she couldnt clock in because of that)

Got home and did a online chat, about 45 minutes later I was able to pick up 2 grinders and 2 5.0 batterys for $236shipped. I had to buy them and then they readjusted the price (it had to be shipped to my house because they dont have authority to change prices for in-store products)

ymmv but worth the hassle imo since i dont own any 5.0 batterys and I've wanted a cordless grinder to convert into a contour belt sander!

FYI you may can save an additional few bucks off the OhioToolStore M18 HO 8.0 + 3.0 battery deal at Northern Tool. They are the same deal once you apply the $20 off 100 coupon you can find online. The tax calc difference between Northern and OTS netted $6 savings for me. Not big deal but a deal is a deal right? :)

Now I just need the $99 M12 6 + 3 battery deal without shipping...

Will OhioPowerTool ship the 8.0 while waiting on the 3.0 to be back in stock, or would I have to wait for both? Not that I need either immediately, but seems like a pretty good deal to have another 8.0 for the OPE and higher demand tools

Promo not working on the Buy 1 get 1. Fuel Grinder, Router, Jigsaw

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ith-Paddle-Switch-Tool-Only-2780-20/204410438

Promotion Details
Price Valid: 02/03/2021 - 05/04/2021
M18 FUEL Combo Kit W/ Free Tool- Receive A Free Tool When Both Items Are Added To Cart- Qualifying Free Goods (310179064, 204410438 or 305658170)

The wording makes it seem like you need to buy a Fuel Combo kit, but none of those are working either.

I already have all 3 so I would want to return 1 and keep the grinder to have a spare. But meh it's not worth the hassle.

It is part of the 'Buy More Save More' promo. Put 2 or 3 in your cart, and see the savings. Most ideal amount is just over $500, likely $508 if you find the right 2 tools, or $507 with 3.

I think that 'Buy One, Get One' link is incorrect. That promo is for a free 5ah battery when you purchase a 2997-22 kit. If you add those 2 items, the prices show in cart, but not if you do the grinder. I am 99%+ certain the grinder is only supposed to be part of the 'Buy More, Save More,' as tools are usually not part two different promotions in the same quarter.

which ones did you get, I have seen good reports on some.
These guys in 6.0ah. They claim warranty, well the first one broke 2 days after use and the seller never replied to my messages. The second battery lasted about 3 weeks. 1d619d83252bd465d24d7d5ffa3b702a.jpg

Ymmv, but I've been running a "powerextra 4.5ah m12" battery for about 3 years now. No complaints other than after 2 years, the retention clips have finally broken off. Capacity is still good, good power, and I use these tools every day in the automotive industry. I'm not promoting them, but I've also got some of their 4ah m18 batteries as well for about the same time. They too are still performing well.

The Chinese knock offs are a dice roll. Some are good and some are not. Sometimes from the same seller. That is part of the reason the Milwaukee batteries cost more, consistently good quality with a real warranty costs extra.

I figured for the price I'd give it a shot. Milwaukee batteries from here on out

Same here. Good luck with powerextras and Flylinktech which aren’t around anymore. Forgot where I got my m18 knockoffs but not as much luck with one of those. We probably should put a list together of the decent m12 knockoffs.

I've been disassembling and testing Vanon M12 batteries lately. Mix of different off-brand cells mixed in them. My findings so far from the 3-cell models:

Vanon M12 2.5ah batteries are only good for flashlights. They are a true 2.5ah, but the discharge current of these batteries are <8 amps, while genuine Milwaukee batteries are 15-20 amps.

Vanon M12 3.5ah batteries use 1.5ah cells. The discharge rate is 20 amps and suitable for power tools, just don't expect long battery life.

Lots of cells in the Vanon packs I have don't have any markings on them. I tested one set from a 2.0ah pack and they had a measly 0.7ah capacity, probably due to poor quality and aging out quickly. My 6-cell packs are also unlabeled and may be the same, but I have not tested them yet.

I have PowerExtras and they are indistinguishable from the Milwaukee ones for power. I still need to take one apart to try and create an AC power adapter at some point. Just haven't gotten around to it.

So, I think I want to up my levelling game.

Any deals ever on:

* M12 3632-21 3 plane laser level
* MLBXC48 Redstick set

For those that need the M12 XC6.0 and CP3.0 battery bundle, Zoro has them for $102.92, which is a pretty good price.

Cool. I had checked them a few times and didn’t see this set so maybe it’s new stock. Only ended up being $2 more than driving across town to one of the few HD that had it in stock. Zoro ftw. Thank!!!

Speaking of Zoro. Oh what it’d be like if we could get the glory days back of no exclusion 25-30% off coupons haha.

I even tried the $80 off $400 I have, and it excluded these. That would have been great if it did

Tempting. I’ve got 2 bundles ready for pickup from HD for $84 each after using one of the 15% online workshop coupons but that particular HD (the only one with stock around here) is an hour away. Have to decide if it’s worth saving ~$40 for 2 hours of driving.
