Like others, I have zero use for the bandsaw, but the Hackzall would be great!

I think there is a good deal at grainger still where you can get the hack with 2 batteries for around the same price, scroll up or maybe back a page.
Already got the bandsaw sold to a guy at work for $250, so got the Hack for $54
Bought the mid torque and compact impact combo above for $243 after perks, and sold the same guy at work my 2754 w/boot for $120

So ended up with the new mid torque, compact torque and hackzall for $177. Still may sell off the compact since I have the M12 stubby and wont need both

The Grainger deals involving the two M18 XC6.0 seem to have disappeared, but its still available through NAPA, although I think the free item is sent from Milwaukee through an e-rebate.

Is there a deal on the M18 transfer pump that I'm missing somewhere? Best I could find was $199 at the depot. I'm just looking for the bare tool.

Specialty tools rarely go on sale. Best bet is to buy a $20 off $200 coupon and use that.

I don't think I've ever seen the transfer pump on sale. There was a free battery promo in store a couple years back. I picked mine up from Acme or CPO with a generic buy more savings type promo

Milwaukee M12 FUEL Installation Drill/Driver Kit 2505-22

$179 plus free bare tool. Free shipping also with code FREESHIP.
NOTE- everything in on backorder.
Might want to mention that's from Ohio Power Tool. At least that's what I recognize the code from

What's the best deal on a M18 (or M12) Fuel Hackzall right now (preferably at HD)?

Does it matter when one cancels one of the two items purchased to perform the Hack? I ordered a tool to be shipped & the battery for pickup locally. Is it best to wait until the tool has shipped to cancel the battery or can one do it anytime?

This deal (hack) is over but something to keep in mind should it return.

Thanks. I'm honestly on the fence for M12 vs M18 on this.

I have a gas chainsaw, an corded chainsaw, and a corded sawzall. A cordless Hackzall would be a very useful addition for me, for pruning and possibly for cutting roots.

I went to HD and held the four varieties (both battery sizes, Fuel and non-Fuel). Without batteries in them, they were all awkward (not balanced), but I was somewhat surprised at the weight difference between them (and frankly, how heavy they got as they got larger).

Get the M18 fuel and if it is too heavy, use the CP3.0 battery. I use mine with a regular 5.0 all the time for quick tasks and I haven't had an issue with it yet.

I started off with the M12 Fuel Hackzall - it was ok, but the fact that it doesn’t have a pivoting shoe made it a bit awkward to use at times, and I wasn’t entirely happy with the power given how close it is in size to the M18. I wound up selling the M12 and buying the M18 Fuel, and I’ve been VERY satisfied with what I can do with the M18.

Went with the M18 Fuel Hackzall as well. GJ members told me it was all about the long stroke.

FYI if you can hold out there are usually great deals. Usually ~$100. I think I managed to get mine for $129 with like a free 6.0 because of this thread.

The M12 Fuel hackzall I had would shake the battery out pretty regularly. I haven't heard anyone else say that, but I sold it and am waiting for the right deal on an M18 Fuel hackzall to come along. I forget exactly what deal I got the M12 on, but I know that it was a kit and I sold off the battery, charger, and bag and was left with something like a $25 hackzall. When I sold it after a year of having it, I made money on it.

Thanks guys! I have zero M12 tools, and have been trying to stick with the one platform. I'm sure I'll end up with M12 at some point.

Milwaukee made it simple to add M12 when you start with M18 😆

I just did the blower and battery hack from a couple of pages back at Home Depot. You have to choose the blower plus free tool option and the only tool option to select is battery. I shipped the battery to the store and the blower home and will cancel or return the battery. Each shows up as about $89 of the $169 order. I just realized I need a 2nd battery blower.

OMG, it finally happened. The under hood light kit went on sale. If anyone doesn't have one of these and is thinking about buying one, NOW IS THE TIME! I have one and I'm thinking about buying this to have a second one:

Also, the red Dremel kit is on is on sale for 79, I don't have one of these yet so I will shortly:

Thanks for the post Hubmonkey!

I don't think I have actually used mine under the hood yet, but I have used it frequently for interior detailing. With both car doors open it spans from side to side and provides more than enough light. I have also mounted it to the underside of floor joists while we were building and running all of the network wiring. Definitely recommended, especially at this price!

The peer pressure was too much.
I ordered one of the M12 work lights along with a 4 pack of 6.0 batteries.

The under hood work light would be a nice tool to have but I’ve found a great alternative. I took an extra Costco 4ft LED light (4000 lumen) I had & wired it in place over my 89 Corvette engine. It may not work for all cars but give it a try, it’s amazing light!

Did the same thing with an LED light strip until the M12 under hood light deal popped up. Now the LED light strip lights up the tool box.
