You can buy the light on eBay for $100 or Amazon for $110. Charger is useless to me since I have a pile. It’s the 6AH batteries I want. Have 2 M18 tower lights so it’s hard to justify the M12 light. I do want the M12 compact rover light, though. This is good if it is what you need.

I have both M18 Tower lights, and can understand you saying that about the M12 light, until you find out how nice it's compactness is. I can throw that in the back of my truck, and not be concerned about the space it eats up.
My tow truck buddy loves them for his trucks
Also great for work in an attic
Its a package with one SKU so you cannot separate it to return just the light.

No, the one Im talking about is a buy the 2 battery & charger pack, and get a free tool, one of which is this light.
The daily special is $10 less, and not returnable. Saves $10 if you want both, but if you want the "hack", the other way is the way to go

Wow, this may very well push me over the edge to get into the M12 platform (I've been on M18, and hate the idea of multiple battery types).
BUT, I really could use (at least) two of those lights to light up my firewood processing area (the boys and I sometimes have to work after sunset in the dead of winter).

Not to dissuade you Mike, but if you are really only interested in LED lighting, there are a lot cheaper ways to do it than the M12 platform. For example, a 2-pack of portable lights with integrated batteries for $50:

All I have is M12 tool and love 'em. I can't imagine anything that I would need 18v. I have a Ridgid 18v setup for big jobs like driving a lag bolt, but my M12 can drive 3" deck screws all day long.

I wanted a blower that had the "power" and there wasn't one in the M12 line-up at the time. I stepped up to the M18 for the blower and love it. I've since added a few other M18 tools, but don't have an issue with any of the M12 or M18 I use.
Blower, hedge trimmer, chainsaw, shop vac, sawzall, grinder, high torque impact, etc, plenty of needs for M18 in my garage. I did give my M18 hammer drill/impact set to my buddy recently when his old Dewalt set died. M12 is perfect for most tools where it's available.
Trust me, I know Milwaukee isn't cheap, and there are much cheaper options available. But I'm really trying to stick to one platform.
I'm really excited to see that Milwaukee keeps expanding the M18 (and M12) line, because that gives me hope that the batteries will be available for quite a while longer.

The fact that you can still buy new M28 batteries that are still being manufactured in 2022 should allay any fears you have about M12 or M18 batteries not being available for a long, long time.

Well consider me educated! M12 still rocks... 
Took the M18 Inflator out of the box for the first time today. Had to clean some oil off the housing, hopefully that's not a bad sign.
The tip storage area really needs a cover. The needle adapter (for filling footballs, etc.) fell right out when I pulled the Inflator out of the box.
Other than that, it was awesome! I used a HO CP3.0 battery (because it was sitting on the charger, with 4 LEDs, although not plugged in for quite some time).
The controls (and memory programming) were pretty easy to figure out. I LOVE that you can hook it up to a tire, press a button, walk away and it fills the tire perfectly (fills about 1 psi over target, then checks and vents until the target is reached).
Even with the little HO CP3.0 battery, I was able to top off 8 car/truck tires (5 of them were very low), and only used half of the charge or less (2 LEDs were on the battery when I finished).
Other than needing an accessory storage hatch door, and a quick-connect chuck, my only other suggestion would be for it to auto-deflate if you connect it to an already over-inflated tire.

I had the same issue. Mine ran great, I really like it. I have some truck and trailer tires that need a lot of air, it worked well.

I don't understand why the M12 can't have two battery slots (in parallel) and compete with the M18 (i.e. 'do better than stock M12') when you have two batteries installed...oh well.
The only issue I've had with the mentioned chuck is that I occasionally wish for a stronger spring on the chuck lever - on certain tires I have, it's like the valve core spring is too strong.
I'd kinda like to get a bag for the M18 inflator, anybody know of a good one that fits well?

It doesn't make much sense to have M12 tools that require two batteries. Isn't most of the point of a 12 volt system to be lightweight?

I do see your point. However, to me, for most m12 tools the design guidelines are compact, lightweight, and powerful. From reviews, the M12 inflator has the first two but lacks greatly for the third.
My thought was more along the lines of "Make it powerful enough so you don't need to invest in a different battery platform just to have a compressor that can air up a tire faster than 'eventually'." Plus, ask yourself how large/heavy is an m12 battery?
The prior response about the M12's pump itself being substantially inferior to the one in the M18 makes a lot more sense to me.
While the little M12 inflator hasn’t gotten a lot of love lately, I really like mine.
I can see that if you were going from mostly flat to full or taking care of multiple vehicles it wouldn’t be so hot. But I’m usually just topping off two tires on a trailer and one Jeep. Adding 2 or 3 pounds per isn’t that big of a deal.

Agreed...the M12 is the top-up favorite at my place. EZ to use, quick and simple to take care of the TPMS light. Going from zero usually requires the 120V pump or compressor
I use my M12 quite a bit. It works fine for any motorcycle/car when you are only filling up to about 10-15 PSI. Once you start filling more then 15 PSI on a car tire, it goes from really convenient to kinda slow. I haven't used it on truck sized tires so I can't say how well it does there but I imagine it performs to scale.
That being said, I've bought 3 M12 inflators because I like them so much and I have enough uses for the little guys that I can legit justify the 3 I bought. If I was gonna buy another inflator, I'm still not sure I'd get the M18. I don't generally fill from flat much and I don't currently have any truck duty stuff so the M12 fits my needs for the most part.
As always, right tool for the job.

BTW, I came to that assumption based on a YouTube video that showed an M12 and an M18 next to one another, like the photo below.
Also, I looked at the parts manual for the M18. The pump seems to take up a large part of the housing, which itself seems 2-3 times as large as the M12 housing, so that's my guess (the M18 pump is larger than the M12 pump)...
