IIRC, from what's been said on here, they go by receipt if available. Otherwise it defaults to serial number. I do know it was mentioned they can read the data to know how many times the battery has been charged.

For the price, unless they are DOA it may be cheap enough not to bother with warranty (prorated anyway from my understanding). I've never actually had a warranty return myself (yet). YMMV :dunno:

I think you just need a really fine tooth blade like 80 tooth.
I just needed to turn the blade around and it worked great. I wanted this model because it’s small and light - compared to my larger saws.

I have the 6.5 at one house, the fuel 7.25 at another, the rear drive 7.25 at my house, but just bought the 5.375 because I wanted something lighter. As I get older, lighter is good. I am using m12 more,

Still a great price, but just a huge FYI, by manufacturing/serial date, they are out of warranty. The two packs I received were both dated from 2019.
Wait....but ToolTopia is an authorized reseller of Milwaukee Tools - hold on to your receipts. I doubt they changed the Warranty policy - TTI could quickly run out of business if they deny and future warranty claims 🤣

I had an M12 XC 6.0 battery that wouldn't charge anymore. I submitted it for warranty repair and they just sent me a new battery for free. It wasn't pro-rated...

I bought 2 packs. Have not looked up how to read the date code — another poster reported the one he received were made in 2019 so it looks like they have been slow sellers and Milwaukee is clearing out old stock.

Not Milwaukee holding on to old stock, but the retailer. If you purchased the same pack from the holiday display at HomeDepot, they would be dated 2022.
If you look at the bottom of the top battery, the middle set of digits indicate year & week made. The image attached was made the 10th week of 2020.

The 3.0's I got from Tooltopia were made December 2020. Seems like we just had to wait for retailers to sit on inventory for these standalone battery deals.

Mine are second week 2021. I have to applaud Tooltopia for their shipping speed, I ordered Tuesday morning and received the 2 pack of 3.0 batteries and M12 cutoff tool Wednesday afternoon.

Mine arrived dead. How do I check the date of manufacturing without opening the blister pack?

edit: I checked the middle numbers, I think mine are from 2020 during the peak of COVID 201004

Did they go based on date of purchase or date of manufacturing for that specific battery?

Saw these at tooltopia, better priced then current HD sale prices on the same ones,

M18 3.0 compact battery 2pk, 61$
https://www.tooltopia.com/Milwaukee-MLW48111837
M12 3.0 battery 2pk, 54$
https://www.tooltopia.com/Milwaukee-MLW48112412

Thanks. I picked up 2 sets, 4 total batteries. Fast shipping, good price.

The ones I received had a 22 09. Assuming you are correct and assuming I am reading the thing right Feb/Mar this year. Also, the manual or included paper has an 11/21 date of printing,

So, the ones i received were current stock.

Thanks, for the link to the batteries and the info on the date codes.

I guess I should have gone yellow instead of red; my smaller Milwaukee batteries (1.5s) have made it just a couple months past the warranty and crapped out.

On topic- this seems like a good deal o' the day at HD- Gen 3 fuel compact 3/8 impact, sawzall, and 2 6ah HO batteries for $320.

Is anyone able to find the 3.0 M18 for $61?

Link doesn’t work and I can’t find on tool topia.

Anyone know the best price for milwaukee 2485-20 m12 90deg 1/4" grinder?
Looked a little while ago, just bare tool (-20):
199 - HomeDepot, Acme, ToolTopia, Northern
184 - Farm and Fleet
159 - CPO Outlets (I think the ship is free 150 and up)
150 and up - Amazon (Sellers: TYH Sales, Tool Guy, CPO Outlets . . .)

Need advice, thinking about pulling the trigger on the M18 power supply. Is the best I am going to get is the Northern Tool spend a $1000 get a $200 gift card?

Figuring this is going to be one of those items that will rarely go on sale given the $ amount. Also could use a few items that rarely go on sale on a standalone basis like the the quick-lok brush cutter attachment.

I was debating when one of the sites had 15% off. The $200 off $1200 at northern, at least that's how I consider that gift card deal, is slightly better at $16.6% savings *if* you buy things you need.

Thanks 2manytools probably the right way of looking at it. Was there any 15% offers still open that were not capped at $500? Knowing myself I will let the gift card expire...

Anyone know where I can find the best deal on the M12 stubby 1/2" impact (2555) and the M18 mid torque 1/2" impact (2962) ? I was all set to pull the trigger on redtoolstore or toolup but wanted to see what Black Friday had in store and they actually raised their prices yesterday.

Monday morning, I got a cryptic response to my email:

"Orders are being processed and shipped within 1-3 business hours from Las Vegas NV. Packaging and pulling of inventory is not included in the transit time."

So, does that mean they have unlimited time to pick and package, then they'll rush it right out?

Fortunately, I didn't have to even wait 24 hours, I got another email Monday night confirming that my order has shipped, and should arrive on Friday. Not banking on that, given Thanksgiving, traffic, etc., but that's major progress!

Mike

I'll try to hide my "shocked face" but the delivery date got pushed to tomorrow...

Had a 5 pc combo (no not chicken) that looked good to me at HD.
Made it a much better deal by opening a charge card at check out. It knocked down $50 from my total.
Made it feel like I stole something!
