Just wanted to share my experience with others...

This thing is JUNK. Used it on one project, very light use, maybe 5-10 minutes. Now it won’t turn on. It does the thing where it flashes all 4 battery indicator lights, and refuses to turn on. You can cheat it by leaving it on, and reinstalling the battery, but you lose speed control. Battery is fully charged.

Garbage tier, meme grade tool, shame on you Milwaukee! I passed over an actual Dremel branded tool in favor of the more legit Milwaukee...

I haven’t dealt with Milwaukee yet, as I cannot find the receipt. I used to think you could trust a brand new Milwaukee tool to last longer than the receipt, sadly I was mistaken.

KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS BOYS!

5 yr warranty based on serial #. Simple warranty process for those who loose receipts.

Duds happen in all products across all brands. Be happy Milwaukee offers a industry leading warranty period and process.

Mine seems to be working good. Only paid $30 for it and a nice long warrantee. Is there a way to check how much time is left?

My M12 soldering iron would do this check the pins that go into the battery make sure they didn't get pushed back or they have corrosion on them. Luckily the Milwaukee repair center is right across the street where I work a lot of my new stuff that's about a year old is failing A few of the chargers and a new drill that needed a new gearbox and chuck parts on backorder.

There is a way to decipher the S# to know what year of mfg.... not sure what it is tho.

Also you can punch the # into the Ewarranty site and it will show eligibility.

OMG so much drama. If you had multiple tools fail then you can maybe call it out as being more then a fluke, or above a reasonable statistic. No manufacturer EVER gets EVERYTHING 100% right EVERY time, regardless of cost.

So give Milwaukee a chance to make it right, and report back if they don't or if you have a failure again.

My rotary tool did the same thing but it was after I used the living **** out of it and though I burned it up. Turns out it was my 6.0 xc batter went dead. Pulled that battery out of rotation and have not had the problem ever again. Plus tools are going to break **** happens. Tell me one company that has 100% perfect track record on products not breaking. You can’t it’s not possible. But what’s importNt is how a company handles the broken tools is what matters. From what I hear 1-800-saw-dust is great to deal with and from what I have heard 9 times out of 10 they go above and beyond what is expected of them.

isn't having receipt better? what if tool were sitting on the shelf for couples, you lose that 2 year warranty?

A good reason to hold on to the receipt.

Milwaukee honors warranty based off S# (as well as receipts), not sure how many mfg offer that kind of policy.

I've only got five of them. Different attachments on each of them. They work for me and if they didn't I'd do what I've done to every Milwaukee tool I've ever owned (>100) and call 1-800-SAWDUST. I've had two 9.0 batteries replaced and two M12 6.0 batteries replaced at no cost to me as they wouldn't charge (got the flashing red and green lights).

I've had one since they came out. Noisy tool, but 100% reliable and works great.
