Does anyone have the new milwaukee Subcompact impact and can take a measurement of the overall head height please? Is it true that the right angle impact (the fuel one) is even lower profile than the subcompact impact?

The newer right angle impact is about 72 mm while the older one is about 59 mm. I would imagine that the newest subcompact impact is thicker than both of these?

How about real world power experience? I was REALLY thinking about the subcompact, but if the right angle is smaller.....I always thought the right angle lacked in power?

I have the new right angle impact and view it as a ratchet on steroids. It has not been much of a help to me because it lacks the power for stuff like caliper bolts. I have to pull out the new version stubby or even the mid torque and use extensions to get into the tight spaces and if those won’t fit, I have to use a manual ratchet and muscle it or a breaker bar.

I have the top pictured Milwaukee M12 right angle impact and have been disappointed in its performance. You can get a little more out of by using larger M12 batteries but, I find myself going to my old Astro if I need a right angle impact. Your result may vary.

What battery pack are you guys using on your newer right angle impact, and not happy with the performance?

I'm sold on the subcompact. Got one for school, and it took off a Chevy 3500 dulie front hub adaptor. It was even with a 6" extension and 21mm shallow socket. Took a bit, but the damn thing did it!

The FUEL right angle impact is a dog power wise, no caliper mounting bolts for you, and Milwaukee should update it with the new motor used on the Gen2 stubby which would fix this problem. The purpose of the new subcompacts confuses me as they aren't much smaller than the Gen2 subby and have 1/2 to 1/3rd the power. Milwaukee's New Product Symposium this year was truly weak with nothing that matters much being introduced.

The right angle is half the thickness of the new compact. 20251005_121714.jpg

2.2" vs 4.1" at the head

Wow that's a bit of a difference there. Thanks for the visual. Practically double.

Also could you please take pictures of the subcompact with caliper including the anvil (similar to what I included in the first post #4? Also do you have 3/8 or 1/2 subcompact and right angle impact?

I should have mentioned that I have the 3/8 right angle impact on post 4.

Yes I have it, will happily take some pics and measurements for you tomorrow 👍

I don't think the gen 2 stubby motor will fit in the shell of the right angle impact handle?

Also in case anyone is wondering 3/8 will produce more torque then 1/2, proven on torque test channel

However there are weight sockets for 1/2 drive so there's that to consider to get more torque out of it
