I rarely post finds anymore but wanted some info. I got this MTF 9/32 boxed set at a sale yesterday. The logo on the box is chipped but you can make out Milwaukee Tool Forge and South Milwaukee. I have collected MTF for sometime and never seen another 9/32 set. Anyone have one or a picture of the complete logo? This set seems to be missing a couple of sockets but is otherwise in great condition for a 1930 set.

That is frickin awesome! I've recently started snapping up MTF anytime I see it. I believe they made most of the Milwaukee company's tools through the 20s. Blackhawk, Husky, and sorry but Snap On too and am amassing a collection of that Era tools in an effort to study it.

As far as the logo, try Snapmom.......she might have it.

Edit: Let me know what size sockets you need, I believe I have one and I'd rather see your set complete.

Thanks twertsy, that is a kind offer. If this set follows other early 9/32 sets I'm missing 7/32, 11/32, and a 1/4" square. I agree on the point of MTF making Snap On but was not aware they made Blackhawk. The early Blackhawk tools are high quality like MTF but seem different if I remember correctly. I have a couple of late teens sets and I'll have to compare them again. By the way MTF marketed wrenches under other names in the 1920s also. I'll have to dig out my sets and take a pic.

I think MTF made Auto Service. They made Blue Points, but not sure if they made Snap on.
