I would say that is not a hot deal. It only comes with a 3ah battery. You can get a brand new legitimate 5ah for $60-$70 just about any day on ebay/craigslist. Charger should be $20-$25. So buy the bare tool, buy your battery & charger separate (if needed) & you will save money/get better battery. This is one kit that is not the better buy

It is also available at HD, so if you have gift cards or other coupons to apply, possibly a better option if you have to have the kit.

Same price at Home Depot

Tool only at HD for $179

edit: I haven't seen the transfer pump go for much less than $170 on ebay. The best price on the pump alone, is probably going through Zoro. It is priced $10 more there, but with a 20% (or 25% if lucky enough) it becomes the lowest price available

Yep I'm amazed Milwaukee is including the 3.0 XC's in any kit anymore.

Rapid chargers are all over eBay for $30. Grab the pump from Zoro at 20% off putting it around $150's. Then Rapid Charger $30 and a 5.0 $50-60 kit take-out.

Pump kicks ***...3.0 probably get you close to 20 min of continuous run time al depends what your doing. Got my landscape friend one after she seen mine in action I do up to 45 min straight with a 9.0 pumping water

Bare tool pump $179 and two pack of 3.0 's was $99. Tossed her dual basic charger they are a dime a dozen (don't need a rapid charger for anything less than 9.0 IMO)

She was amazed how fast it drained her 60 gal portable water tank I laughed told her she needs 300 gallon tank

Interesting DFB.....does the Red transfer pump have enough juice to pump out 25 feet off a 3/4 hose (going go google just cause I am curious and never looked at it's capabilities)

I pull water from a brook thru a 50ft length of 5/8" garden hose and where the pump sits it is around a 10 foot lift.

My discharge line is two lengths of that same 5/8" garden hose for a total of 100ft with maybe another4 ft rise if you count when I'm holding the waterline in my hand. I get somewhere around 5gal a min or so to water my plants with. They say 8gal is max

Couldn't you accomplish the same thing with a 500 gallon/hr 12 volt bilge pump from Walmart for $25 bucks

Some could, but their is a convenience of the power source. Bilge pumps have been around, yet I don't know any plumbers with one (though it probably wouldn't surprise me if one did), but I do know several with the M18 pump.

My landscape Friend had a 12v setup with full sized battery prior to this she wasn't all that happy with. Finds this much more convenient with the small rechargeable M18 batteries. Her pump is solid mounted on the trailer with a couple of large SS hose clamps on a small platform.

Mine has totally replaced using a pull start 3.5 hp gas powered Pacer water pump for my work. That was my main power source to move water for years. Was very cumbersome to haul it around back and forth to the job every week and took up a lot room in my vehicle plus needed fuel and engine oil and other maintenance.

Now I just push a button :D

And as long as I leave my hoses at the worksite the pump/battery itself is so small I can now transport it on my motorcycle as it easily fits in my rear luggage rack bag and that is pretty cool.
