I used to use gun oil to keep the rust off my tools, then I moved to mineral oil from the pharmacy because it's cheap and easy to find, and I've been happy with the results so far. But unscrewing the cap and pouring it out is a hassle, I'd like to find a good method of dispensing it.

What do you guys use to dispense mineral oil? Oil Can? Squeeze Oiler? Spray Bottle?

yep, those trigger cans are perfect, provided you get one that doesn't leak (some of my older ones leak)

I used Allison 730 transmission brake pistons. As long as I do not fill past 1/2 it will not spill, if tipped over. I machined out the lid and added an "O" ring to the lid. The magnet on the bottom is from a microwave.
The machine screws holding the lid are 4/40 socket head stainless.

I like using the Goldenrod oilers for a variety of cleaning and lubricating fluids too, Goldenrod 625's for about $18 typically.

You should be able to get a set of empty travel shampoo/soap bottles that are about 4 oz. that have a flip cap. That's what I use.

I use Eagle-type push-diaphragm oilers for mineral oil and most things, only because I seem to have bad trigger can karma-- they always leak for me. Well, all but one.

I do have pump oilers & spillmaster containers but I prefer & mostly use luer lock bottles.

And not just for machining related, have em around inside the house too. I use 2 oz bottles the most but also use 1 oz & 4 oz. I always buy mine from Howard Electronic Instruments but plenty of other places to get them too.
