Another find from the tool cabinet. Don't think this was made for actual use as a jeweler/watch makers anvil...most likely just a promotional item.:dunno:

The company was know locally as the "Anvil Bank" and was bought out in the 1930's. It appears to be made of brass. Thought it was pretty cool anyhow.

CT: you bet that your little anvil is COOL. I have one slightly bigger made out of aluminum I don't think will ever not be on my workbench.

That is super cool!!!!

I lookout for actual forged antique jewelers annvils... those are pretty amazing pieces of art in their own right... even tho this is technically an ASO (Anvil Shaped Object) I would buff and burnish the heck out of it (being bronze it will pop!) and it would then sit (lacquered) on either my desk at work or my fireplace.

Nice score. And if you ever decide to go into working gold - it's soft enough that bronze anvils work surprisingly well for it. :D

(I do know ho to spell A()nvils, but the ad-o-matic dropped a link on my post, so I'm bypassing it!)
