Mini Barn Wood Floor Covering

I have a 12' x 16' mini prefab barn. The floor is wood and pretty stiff. I was thinking maybe 12" x 12" tiles over the wood. The thing I don't like about the wood is anything spilled on it gets absorbed even if you are right there and clean it up. I don't often in fact very rarely bring a vehicle in it, too much junk, so weight wont be an issues. Any opinions or options would be appreciated. Thanks. Jim
