Hi:
Going to buy a mini fridge for the shop. Can I plug this into the same circuit as my bench 20 amp outlets are on? I look at all the fridges at Home Depot and the manuals and I can not find the start up watts or the running watts. Because they are much smaller then a normal fridge to they require less start up power?

Or should I run a separate dedicated 20 amp circuit outlet for it?

Thanks

Moved the topic to Electrical from the Gallery. I would think the Fridge would not need a dedicated power point of 20 amps and should run OK with the present set up you have.

Although you have no location in your profile I may be giving you the wrong advice. May I suggest you update your location.

No problem with adding to your 20A circuit. Most only consume 1-2amps when running with a surge of around 5A.

My full size french door fridge draws 6a.

Mini fridges draw substantially less.

Plug it in to current outlet and dont give it anymore thought.

Should be no problem and if on some chance you trip the breaker while using it you will likely know before your beer gets cold.
