Hey guys. I'm looking for a mini jumper pack for the glove box. I work in a garage and have used a mini one once that the owner has. He got it at advance auto. It's about the size of a small book and can charge a cell phone with he USB port. Anybody have any idea what the best one is?(but affordable, they list theirs at 135$)

I've got a Matco Tools VersaPower I'm very happy with. Bought it on a whim, went home and grabbed a VERY dead battery and threw it in my mustang, wouldn't light the dome light. Hooked up the little versapower and the car lit right off like the good battery I'd taken out.

I use packs liek this for a living, only pack I would ever buy (and I did buy my own) is a jump n carry. I have the JNC 660 at home and at work and it will jump 25+ cars on a single charge, can be recharged using a vehicle or a 120v extension cord (no stupid cords to lose). It will not jump a diesel truck thats drained way low unless you connect the pack to one battery and use another pack or a vehicle on the other battery. Only other one would be a quick cable brand pack, but they are heavy suckers!

my personal JNC660 has been sitting for eons now, went to use it the other day and its still fully charged and jump started a v8 with ease.

Those tiny portable packs are great for smaller cars or vehicles that dont require alot of CCA to start, but if you try it on a V8 truck it might not jump it depending on how dead the battery is.

These things are hot right now, wonder how many companies are actually making these or if it's just one or two and they are putting different cases on them

I can't believe these things practically fit in your pocket now. The one I keep behind the seat of the truck must weigh 20 pounds (ten years old, still works like a charm).

Just ordered the powerall deluxe. 120$
What's the difference between the Powerall Deluxe you ordered and the $99 Poweralls linked above? I've been considering one of these, I like the PowerAll's casing, but it doesn't have the 19,12,5v outputs like many of the other copies do.

I'm leaning towards the Antigravity XP-1/PPS for it's 12V output to use to power a portable stereo I have as well as charge cell phones etc and the possible jump start every now and then.

Or maybe the Bestek

Judging by the 20 or so different versions/brands with nearly exact same features, I'm going with one or two Chinese suppliers of the inner workings and several different case options. Likely all the same internally. Even saw one that was just a basic white plastic box with no frills.

Just did some research.

These mini jump packs use lithium ion technology and provide limited amperage, between 200 and 400 amps. Still a great option.

http://www.cnet.com/news/pocket-sized-jump-starters/

Stanley sells the LI1000 but doesn't list the amps.

For my wife, I'd like to mount a spare, full power battery, and wire it up with a momentary switch and a trickle charge setup, so when she leaves the lights on (Like she often does at work), she can just hit the switch and start her up.
