What mag lite model is it ?
Is it the original AA mag lite that had no switch, turn the focus head to turn it on.
so, I changed my original mini mag to the led kit.
I did mine last week I love it now.

or is it the AAA mag lite ?
have you tried emailing MAG-LITE ?

the warranty on the LED maglites is just for the aluminum housing. lifetime warranty on the housing. the switch, LED and everything else are not warranty items.

not sure if it's the same for your model

I'll check the warranty, and do the eraser bit.
Thanks.
I've had 3 over the years, the original, the three bulb and the latest led with a high lumem 200+?? All 3 have had the same thing where when you twist it to turn on, it doesn't always work. Agravating. I was wondering if anyone had a good fix. Thanks for the responses

Lifetime warranty, sort of.

I've had a couple replaced free when batteries leaked. They have to be Energizer or Duracell though. Mag has a deal with them.

I've also had them send me free tools and parts to fix my own lights. Just call them and ask!

The deal with the battery companies ended. You need to deal directly with Energizer or Duracell to get satisfaction now.
