Schmitz do NOT have any distributors of their own, so it's buy directly for their label (see links above, including directly via Amazon.de).

Your only other alternative would be rebranded (C.K. Tools or Belzer would be the most extensive). Both are also quite a bit more expensive. Other big names rebrand as well, such as NWS, but the selection is very small.

As per buying directly, it's NOT a hassle at all, nor is it slow to arrive to your door (sent via air mail). No need to be concerned.

Thanks Nanofrog!

I tried the Allspec link....no Schmitz. I will look at Amazon.de later today.

Here's some 5" needle nose pliers with cutter by Facom, NOS SK for $11.99 shipped. Made in France. Might save you a little bit on some mini needle nose.

5 left out of 95, so I'd hurry if you do want them. I bought a pair a few days ago.

Edit: Tricked again by going straight to the reply page and not checking original post date. :lol_hitti

^^^Nice find!!! In for a pair.

Does anyone have any experience with this site?

Do be aware, that due to Amazon's fees, they're more expensive (Schmitz ESD on Amazon.de).

Take the 3102 HS22 for example (small oval cutter); it runs 29.23EUR on Amazon.de (here), and 21.71EUR directly from Schmitz (here). They take PayPal (fee is 2% max via a checking account as the source, 4% max for a credit card when I did it). Shipping's not horrible either (they send it through the German Postal System as EMS, which is Air Mail).

There's certainly enough of a price differenced to buy directly at any rate.

Seems the one advantage to Amazon might be selection (they make a lot more than they offer through their own store). Check their catalog and you'll see what I mean (min. of 6 units if direct purchase of P/N's not listed on their own store), and this may not be the case on Amazon.de (they supplied Amazon with enough stock they didn't have to do the min. order size as they did for direct sales). At the trade-off of a higher cost per unit.

Hey thanks for the pointer, those SK NOS ones came today look to be great quality. I also got a couple pro-american plier types from the same guy to test out. They aren't as super, but still a step up from the HF / husky / delcast mini pliers I have been wanting to replace...

Glad you like them. I should have mine in a couple of days judging by the tracking information. I bought a pair of NOS SK made in France snap ring pliers a while back and they are awesome.
