Temps are dropping here in CO so I wanted to see if I could afford getting heat for the 900SF garage I have

I was also thinking maybe I could kill two birds with one stone and make it a heat/AC unit

I was wondering if you could install one of these systems yourself

Thanks in advance

Installation is not hard. Mix up some concrete for a pad to mount the outside unit. Screw a bracket to the wall and hang the inside unit. Between the two you will need to run the line set (typically 1/2" & 1/4" copper tube covered with insulation) and some wires. The outside unit will need a 20 or 30 amp 220V supply.

To make the final connection you'll need a vacuum pump to evacuate the line set -or- pay an A/C technician to do that part.

How cold do you anticipate your area to get during the winter? Heat pumps are not that efficient when temps get down low... Some Mini Split systems have an electric heat option.
