Do mini splits have a dry contact relay on them or anything that could enable someone to turn on their furnace fan when the mini split is running? I would like to install a mini split but have the furnace fan automatically turn on when it's running to distribute the air.

They are always running .. you would be better off getting a controller for the furnace. The fresh air and humidity controllers have contacts for furnace fans

Not sure what this all means. A mini split only runs when it needs to cool, just like a furnace.

Not sure how a "fresh air" or humidity controller would help me when I want to distribute the cold air while the mini split is running? :)

I guess a current sensing relay would probably do the trick.

Similar situation, maybe we can figure out each other's issues.

I have a sensi thermostat wired to my furnace (3 wires at the moment, but ran multi conductor). It can control just the fan, I believe based on temp and humidity, independent of firing the burner.

But how is this connected at the controller? I want to circulate the It when the woodstove is going.

He probably means inverter units run most of the time, modulating their output to meet the desired temperature.

A current sensing relay would work I guess..
