Mini Split drain connection help.

Hiya Folks,
I've hung two indoor units of my mini split system. This is a Gree Multi21 condenser and I'm using a 9k and 18k indoor units (Terra model). So far so good. The lines are all punched through to outside where they are heading horizontally in lineset cover to clear windows/doors and then head down to the unit. For my drain line, I'm having some difficulty figuring out what type of fitting to use to connect to the factory drain line. I'm going to transition to PVC and so far have just met with frustration trying to find something that fits the factory drain line. Nothing in the manuals that I could see that would indicate the size but a quick measurement shows them to be about 0.550" ID and 0.640" OD (which equates to roughly 14mm and 16mm respectively. The factory ends are a barb which would seem to indicate I should be slipping something over it along with a hose clamp but nothing seems to fit. I'm sure it's simple and it's just me being ignorant on tubing fittings and the like. Attached is a photo of the factory end. Any advice is most appreciated.

Probably made for clear plastic flexible tubing. .640 od is probably for 5/8 tubing. 3/4 might work but you will have to clamp it pretty tight.

Thanks. Was looking to avoid the clear stuff and stick with PVC to hopefully prevent algae and whatever else might like to grow in there. Hence where I'm having difficulty. I may have to try to go with a short tube attached to the factory and then transition from that to the PVC.

Heat up the end of a 1/2" pvc pipe to soften it with a heat gun. You can then slip it over the barb.

It really should have an air gap between the vertical hose and the PVC before you go horizontal. Use 5/8" ID tubing to transition from the factory drain and then put it loosely into 3/4" PVC for your extension.
