Having a 36BTU mini split installed with a distribution box. currently have 2 heads being installed to be used right away. I have a large room above my garage that wont get finished off for about a year or so. I need to run the drain lines now and have a question. The future heads will be one 12,000 and one 9000 btu wall units.

Can I run both drains into a single 3/4" or 1" PVC pipe or do they need to be in separate runs. These will both be on interior walls and the garage ceilings are going to be plastered. That is why I need to install them now.

I don't know if there are code limitations in your area or anything, but as far as proper drainage go, a single 3/4 pipe is more than enough for two small mini-splits.

Agree with Justin, You system might produce an estimate 10 gallons of water a day on a humid day, at most..a drop in the bucket for 3/4", place a trap for each head . Without a trap, cold air will move in the pipe causing condensation.
