Mini split DS to outdoor unit distance

Without calling the manufacturer would someone tell me about how long of a whip is typically used between the unit and the DS.
Fixing to poke a hole in the wall and wire and mount my disconnect for a mini split unit.
What's the maximum distance from the DS to the outdoor unit? Would 6' be to far? And ~3' off the ground?
I'll set the unit on cement blocks or one of the stands they make for them.

Pretty much decided on a Senville 12k unit.

6' is fine. It needs to be "within sight" of the unit, with some AHJs considering 50' or perhaps as little as 25' being too much. 3' high should be good unless you expect to to be buried in snow drifts while in use (not in Texas).
