Located in central Florida.
3 car garage - 22X30 8ft ceiling with blown in insulation
Concrete block walls on 2 sides, insulated drywall house wall and 2 insulated garage doors.

Found a deal on a slightly used Daiken 22K BTU mini-split for $900

So should i buy it and find a local friend/tech to install it for me? Is this a good deal?

I would first want to know why they're selling it? I'm always suspicious of anything that's advertised as "slightly used". It could be fine and the owner just realized that they really needed a much bigger model or it could be broken, have an intermittent problem, etc. :( If it's the latter, then no, it's not a good deal...

Look for any manufacturing date code that you can find on the unit. That will give you a better idea of just how "slightly used" it might really be. ;)

I would want to see/feel it run first. Mini splits do not like to be run low or out of refrigerant = damage. I would pay half price if everything was working and in order.

I bought both my Mitsubishi Mr Slims off of Craigslist. Saved a bundle doing it
