Mini split help

I bought a ecox 2 ton unit used and it had a universal remote and none of the codes work any idea how to get a original remote tried emailing factory but no response I attached a photo of data plate

I have tried that site with no luck have emailed them 2 times but no response

Take your phone camera pick up the remote push any button and with camera facing sensor you can see if the sensor lights up. Then you will know if remote works. If the board in the unit has lost it's program you would have to reprogram it from the remote and that would have to come from a factory rep more than likely.

I emailed the cooling distributors last week but no response I will try the ones outside the us if I could even find a universal remote that would be fine the one I have is a 1028 code remote one code 695 beeps like it found my ac but wont control anything

There are universal remotes with a code-search mode..

This looks like a Midea unit. Have you tried the corresponding remote code ?

The indoor unit beeps or the remote beeps?

Will the mini split do anything? It might have an emergency mode you could try?

I have a universal that will auto scan for the code it finds one code but remote still controls nothing the unit has a button you can push that turns it on but cant change anything.

My first step in trouble shooting is rebooting. Mini is more computer than AC. Try turning the circuit breaker off
for 30 seconds and turn back on.

That confirms the unit is powered

There's probably a small cable connecting the IR receiver to the control board. Check it's plugged in properly on both ends. Might have got unplugged during the move.
