Mini-Split Indoor Unit Location Advice

I'm planning on putting a mini-split in an upstairs bonus room. The indoor units are designed to be mounted high on the wall. My bonus room is long and narrow with the long walls starting to vault at 5 foot up. I planned to have the indoor unit mounted in the center of the room for more even distribution but that would mean it would be sitting at 5 feet. Would that be ok or would I be better off mounting at the end of the room where I could have it higher up (7.5 feet)?

Fujitsu and Mitsubishi and perhaps others make a low wall mount unit that could be mounted in the middle of the space. Don't put the high wall anyplace but high on the wall.

Either a console unit or certain models of under ceiling unit can be floor mounted. The high wall unit would be cheaper and probably better anyway blowing along the longest run rather than across it.

ceiling cassette?

Cassette units work well, but you have to pump the condensate (pump is built in on those I know), and they, generally, are more difficult to access/service. Cost more too.

Thanks for the input guys. This is the advice I needed. This is a bonus room above the garage and I have no access to the ceiling. I do have room in the adjacent attic (other side of the 5 foot long wall) for a ducted split system but like the console units those are more expensive. I think I'm going to with a traditional high wall system on the end of the room. Monkeyspanners comment on it possibly being better that way gives me some comfort.
Thanks again.

You can get a drain pan with a float and pump on it to run that condensation to to a drain, or outside.

That's not going to work with a mini split, Where would you put this 'drain pan'? On the floor? And it's not even necessary. They are made with built-in condensate drainage.
