Hello,
I recently was in the process of tightening my air handler side lineset connections with a click torque wrench and the wrench never made the click sound. As a result I over tightened the liquid line and ruined the liquid line copper flare. With this said, I have two questions:
1) My suction line is cut to just over 10 ft., I have a spare liquid line that is 15 ft. Is it okay for the lines to be two different lengths?
2) I am using a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter on the torque wrench that allows me to connect the wrench head to fit the suction line hex nut. Is there something that I need to know in terms of figuring extra or less torque due to the use of the adapter?
Very much appreciate any assistance.
