Mini Split Line Set Size

When building my shop I ran a line set through the walls for a mini split. I ran a line set with 1/4" and 3/8" lines. I purchased a 24,000 BTU mini split recently and the line set it came with has 3/8" and 3/4" lines. What will be the impact of using the line set already installed in my walls?

I have no first hand , solid info for you . I do think you must use the required larger tubing or your headed for bad performance/ problems down the road . I'm sure you'll have an answer pretty quick .

You will have greatly reduced performance and efficiency, with a likely reduction in equipment life. The lines you ran are rally only appropriate for a small system <9,000 BTU.

You will have to run a 3/4" line.

I have never seen a mini-split that works with 3/8" and 3/4" lines and I've been doing this for ~12 years, so I'm very curious, what brand/model did you purchase ?!

I'm pretty sure this system works with 3/8 + 5/8, at least that's what I found online.. There is no mention of a 3/4 line anywhere in their (limited) documentation and like I said, I've never seen a 3/4 line on a mini-split.
