Hi folks,
Looking for data from Garage owners with Mini-Split Heating and Cooling systems only.

What is the size of your Garage LxWxH? How is it insulated? Make & Age of your Mini-Split system? And average monthly costs to operate in Summer (cooling) and Winter (Heating)?

FYI, I'm in MA, in the northeast, so comparable climates would be more accurate for my comparison.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort in sharing!

Bob

This may be an extreme from a climate stand point but at least it is a point of reference for you. I'm in the Fort Worth area and installed two mini-splits systems in my shop which is 54'x72' with 12' side walls and 22' peak ceiling (open). The month of august where temps were a low in the mid 80's and day time highs in the upper 90's it cost $142 to keep the garage at 72 degrees.

Houston tex. 50x26. Down. Have 12,000. Upstairs man room. 850 sq ft. Have 15,000 Spray foam insulation. Includes one regular size fridge and one undercounted fridge. 4 gallon hot water heater. Keep them at 78 / 79 degrees 53% avg humidity July and August. Approx 40.00. Yes. 40 dollars. Surprised me. But spray foam is tight in fact have to run an erv machine on man room. The room is super tight and only way to bring in fresh air.
