Starting to get costs associated with turning our 8' x 14' breezeway between kitchen and garage into a four season room. 8 ft ceiling. The old exterior doors and jalousie windows will be updated/replaced. Central NC, not the mountains, so it doesn't get terribly cold here. Online calculator calls for 9k BTU and calculated cooling load of 6,100 BTU.
I've read here that sizing is pretty critical on these mini splits. Will a 9K BTU be OK? I don't want to be "over gunned".
