I saw pictures of these on the web one night, went to bed and could not sleep thinking about the damn thing. The next day I rummaged through the shop and put this together and punched out two little hay bales 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 5 inches long. Neat little conversation pieces the little bales and hay baler. Time well wasted lol....... :)

Time isn't wasted if what you are doing entertains you.

Now build one that can be pulled behind a child's pedal tractor . . .

That is awesome!

Like Steevo said, no time is wasted if you are enjoying what you do!!!! Especially if you end up with cool stuff like the baler!

Slick, need some small cows to eat it, goofy things like that are very entertaining for the builder........ I like it!

my wife would go NUTS over little hay bales like that. She goes crazy decorating for fall and halloween and there is never enough hay around.

Great job, I have no idea how a baler works but I sure would build one of those.

Nice, some places sell them for $8.00 ! You could make lots from one real bale.
Chopped straw would work well.

I just paid $4.50 each for about 3 of those small bails for the wife to use for decorating. Around here they go quick.

Good little money maker and cool mechanism:thumbup:

Looks like a good start to me! A couple fellas in the various local tractor and modeling clubs have built miniature working balers, some diecast toy size, others a bit bigger.

Keep going, here's a next gen build:

Steevo..... the "wasted" time is more enjoyable to me as it's not on a timeline of any kind even though there's other things I should be doing. The baler behind the garden tractor crossed my mind but the next build will be a mini hay wagon to display the bales. Everyone else that replied thanks for the nice comments and will try to make some for craft sales....let you know how it turns out. Thanks
