Miniature oil cans

Picked up these miniature oilcans at a flea shop today and wondering if anyone knows anything about the two smaller ones.

Flat one is marked Made in USA, and Pflueger (I believe). When you remove the cap, it has a pin that goes in the oil spout to keep it unclogged.

Round one is a little larger, but doesn't have the pin in the lid. Only marking is made in USA

Both seem very well made, just wondering what they would have been made for? My first thoughts are sowing machines, maybe?
Anyone seen anything like them before?
Picked all of these up together, but the PO didn't have any info on them at all.

Don't know anything about the little ones. However, the bigger one with funnel-type spout is definitely antique as I've got one just like it. I'm guessing that big one is around 40 years old.

My grandpa drove rural road grader to maintain county dirt roads and that "Oil Can" is what he called it was used to get bulk oil from 30 or 55 gallon barrels of oil that he used for the Galion road grader.

Lots of cool nostaliga you got there . . . . definite score!!

You sure the picture is of the same one? It would way too small to use for bulk oil.

I believe Pflueger made fishing reels, so maybe it was for lubing them.

The 30 or 55 gallon barrel of "bulk oil" was stored horizontally on a stand and had a spigot at bottom. Antique oil can was used to get about a quart or two from the bulk oil barrel.

Grandpa would use the Oil Can to carry over to Galion road grader.

I have a 16mm Bell and Howell projector that has the one on the left in the door that is opened to thread the film. It also has small spring loaded caps over the areas to be lubed.

Pretty sure DHS nailed it. Found quite a few like mine using Google, and they all talk about Pflueger reels. I also find one used for the B&H projector that was real close. Possibly by same MFG. :dunno:

Have found nothing on the round one yet.

CNGsaves: Larger can definitely used to transfer from bulk drum to smaller tanks. This one is marked 1qt, but I have larger ones, up to 1gal all similar design. No mfg name on this one.

I did find some info on these other two oil cans if anyone is interested.
