Why do I need a minimum post count in order to post to a thread? This was 10 posts, now I get the message I need 20 posts... This is so frustrating...

Because they were not productive posts. It's obvious that you only came here to peddle your wares.

You're correct that I found the site because I was looking around to get a good idea of value for my toolbox. I'm not sure how that means that I won't enjoy the site and contribute to it in other ways but ok.

On a different note - is there a way to see when someone has replied to my post? I didn't see any notifications and the test section just happened to come up when I started typing in the site which is how I noticed the replies to my comment.

We welcome all good honest users of the forum, scammers, spammers and such, not so much.

We try to watch our site closely, not just the Mod staff but the members themselves. I don't think you will find a better set of guys and yes, girls elsewhere on the 'net. I like to think of it as neighborhood watch with the membership.

You should be able to set up some notifications to your threads in your User CP. I don't use it as I've very active here but some of the other members may chime in and give you an idea how it works.

Personally I don't like notifications... but I live on my "Subscribed Threads" shortcut... under Quick Links above.

I setup my CP controls to automatically subscribe me to any thread I post in. I rarely add a subscription to a few that I want to watch.

While it doesn't specifically notify you of a person responding to you directly. The Subscribed Threads show all active threads for you to "check into" to see what is happening. Assuming you are still interested in that topic.

You can at any time … delete your subscription to a thread...

I'm guessing but... I think I'm subscribed to about 2,000 threads... (I'm not normal)

Great, thanks, that was very helpful! Appreciate the advice.
