I have a 3 car garage with a wall splitting the 2 car space and a 1 car space. I would like to put a DIY minisplit in the 2 car section but the condensate and refrigerent lines will have to traverse the 13' wide single bay garage to get to the outside wall. I am thinking of just building/boxing out a space to run the lines. My concern is that in order to gravity feed the condensate line I would guess I would need to box out 18' high or so. I would rather not make it that large so I am thinking of using a condensate pump. Anyone use one with a Mr Slim unit. If so, which one did you use? Any do's/don'ts for installation?

I would avoid the use of a condensate pump whenever possible and just use 1/2 inch PVC that is pitched along the freon line set towards the point of egress or where the lineset comes in from the outside. Yes, this means the evaporator unit is higher than the level of the lineset that feeds it.
Or do you happen to have a floor drain in the two car garage area to flow the condensate towards?

The line sets can at most 4 inches in dia with their insulation so you can hide it in the first single garage of box it in with home made or channels that you buy.

The condensate does not have to follow the lineset. Is there a better gravity path to a drain you an use?
