Was wondering if there is a site for minisplit sizing for garages. The Morton building has approx. 18ft high ceilings. Building is fully insulated. Has a boiler with concrete floor heating. Using the home HVAC estimator sites it shows I should need 67,000 BTU. Seems awfully high to me. Only manufacturers that make minisplit single zone systems over 30k BTU cooling are Mitsubishi. Previous home had Fujitsu and Mitsubishi minisplit systems and we were happy with both of them. Initial thoughts are two 19.8 SEER 30k BTU single zone systems.

Lots of other brands out there over 30.000 btu . Gree , Pioneer , Mr. Cool , Daikin , LG etc.. Give a little more info on your building and folks will give you great ideas . Insulation details , R- values , open rafters or a ceiling of any type ? Door's , window's ?

The building has steel walls on the inside and out. Has a peaked roof but it is flat on the inside of the building. Can't see what the R value is of the insulation since the steel walls are everywhere. Has 2 small windows which I have covered up, 1 standard size service door, and 2 big overhead garage doors. All the doors are insulated. Building actually stays relatively nice inside, even today when the temp is getting in the 90's. I currently have a dehumidifier in there which is keeping the humidity between 50 and 60. I was thinking two single zone 30k systems with the heads near the overhead doors.
