The garage is at AutoMotorPlex condos in Chanhassen. HIRISC has his there as well.

Dimensions are 24 X 40 X 16.

My 20’ trailer is 25 ft total length and 8’6” tall. I can still work a mezzanine around it, but don’t have plans to do that yet.

Black Cabinets:
Top cabinet was a red powdercoat painted cabinet with Dale Earnhart Jr. theme that was a gift from my father. He did not understand that I was not a DE Jr fan. So since my dad has passed away, I was able to paint it semi gloss black with a rattle can and sand it down to a flat black color. I hand sanded more off to let a few decals show through.

Bottom cabinet was my white and black granite bathroom cabinet. I plugged the 4 small holes in the top with a wood and carbon fiber plug. I can remove them if I need to run a cord down them. The sinks were vessel bowls, so the sink holes are only 1.5 inches diameter. I painted the cabinet black, then sanded it down to a shabby chic, then added lots of red paint, some more black paint, then sanded it down to give it the distressed look. It looks ok, and would look great if I did the rest of the theme in a rat rod style, but I am hoping to go more high tech looking if I end up making it more than what it is now.

The art work is posters I have done for charity auctions at our club race.

I do some work in the garage, mostly race prep. I don’t rebuild motors, etc.

Ha, I'm close to you just like fordbroncodave, but only in the southern direction.

I've never been to AutoMotorPlex, but guessed that's where you were located by your Chanhassen location and beautiful shop. I've heard nothing but fantastic things about it.

I love the pic on the left above the red chairs. Always cool stuff happening at BIR!

Yes. I was Nord Stern president last year. I race with PCA club racing.

Congratulations on being an Ex-President ;-)

I am the current president of the local SCCA Region (Land O' Lakes). I have gotten a few PCA guys to cross over to SCCA races at BIR. Shannon Ivey in his 911 and I run VERY closely on the BIR 2.5 mile course.

I hope to see you around!

I haven't made it to AutoMotorPlex yet, but I hope to get down there this summer. I know it's a pretty cool place and a good idea for people who need space like that and are close enough to use it well.

What a great garage. My question is, now that you have had it awhile, are you still happy with the dimensions/space/layout? Is there anything you wish you'd done differently? I'm thinking about a similar setup and want to learn from those who have "been there."

Nice "winter beaters"! ;)
(my first 30+ years were in Bloomington, Edina, Minnetonka, Shorewood, Chanhassen)

But in all seriousness, great looking garage and sweet rides!
