Been lurking for ideas and tips for what I hope to be my 24x26 garage build this spring. Still in the application stages since I live near a lake and have an odd property arrangement I am required to get a variance. One part is to get the garage placed less than 10' from the property line and the other is because I will go over 35% hardcover limit. I passed planning commision 5 to 2 so up next is council approval.
Next is to get a drawing of my garage as well as a street view to show council. They are pretty picky as they want the siding to match my home and have limited my sidewalls, roof pitch and door height. My plan is to get a carriage house look on the outside which the planning commision said they were all for. Inside I will have radiant floor heat and at least one Nussbaum along with a loft and all the other usual needs.
