I stumbled on this forum and have been hooked over the past few days. I'm 16 and in the market for my first car, but haven't quite found something yet.

Stocking up on Mac, SO(when i can afford it) , and CM tools...and as much as i feel dirty about it, HF too. The allure of the low price is too much for a 16 year old on a budget. I do want to be able to wrench on my car once I have it.

I'll be hitting the flea market tommorow to see what I come up with. Generally alot of SO there. Not always cheap though. Try to go weekly when I can.

I inherited a SO 1/4 in Drive "TORQOMETER" from my late grandfather who was a television repair man in the 60's and 70's.
(the ID plate on the TORQOMETER reads "TORQUOMETER ,REG U.S TQ PAT OFF. SERIAL NO. 1214")

Between the flea markets and HF I was able to accumulate wrenches, screwdrivers, staplers, hammers, sockets, allen wrenches, a very nice vise, pliers, and a multimeter.

My experience is mostly with bicycles. I have installed the ceiling fan in my bedroom, the attic fan (in the attic :lol_hitti), and assisted when we refinished the back porch and installed a new septic tank.

Looking forward to a nice membership.

Welcome to the GJ.:) Nothing wrong with buying used tools.

Damn right! If you don't have the experience, they should!

Welcome!

P.S. Stay away from the hot women topic, it will stunt your growth; or at least cut into your reading time.
