Miracle Truss - Closed their doors

In business it is considered a really bad move to adopt the name of another (defunct) company and do business with that name. Frequently courts will find there is sufficient connection between the previous company and the new one that the new one can be held liable for the old company's debts.

How this person got rights to this name, and from who, is unclear. But names are assets, and not just tossed away. I'm sure at some point he'll get a polite "stop using that name, it is ours" and he'll be out of miracles.

The best company I found that manufactures their own product and offers a hybrid version is Worldwide Steel Buildings. They were able to supply additional trusses for my Miracle Truss Building. I spoke with the guy that says he's Miracle Truss now, but he has nothing to do with the old Miracle Truss he's just using their name to benefit himself.

Being in the building business I can't imagine anyone wanting to adopt the name with all the problems associated with it.

Worldwide Steel Buildings sounded familiar, so I just checked and found them in my bookmarks, with a note that they had bought out Miracle Truss when they closed their doors, and that they had had plenty of complaints against them.

This is not new. The new Miracle Truss has been in business since 2015. I called them and the prices were out of sight for just trusses.

It sounds like the current owners didn't buy the company from the original owners so I don't see how the current owners could be responsible for anything the previous owners did. The new company started from the ground up and just happened to use the same name as an old company.

I don't know why anyone would use the same name as a previous company with a bad reputation. The current owners even address this on their website stating that old reviews out on the Internet don't apply to the current company.
