I was weighing all my options for the construction of my equine barn. I found this website and really think the way this building is built is phenominal.
He used a steel post with clips welded on to hold the purlins and a bracket to hold the header board. Check it out.
Pole Barn
No wood posts in the ground to rot, could paint the steel posts with POR-15 and never worry about them rusting off in the ground. The rest of the building is standard wood "pole barn" construction.
Does anyone know where I could buy these metal pole barn poles designed to carry a header board?
I know Miracle Truss/WebSteel/Perka buildings use a system similar to this anyone know of a company just selling the poles or the cost of some of those Miracle Truss type buildings?
