Mirrored or White

Hi guys. New to the forum, but old to garages. Changing out my old halogen lighting in my 30X30 garage (ceilings 11ft) to 6 bulb (54W approx 4 ftlong) T-5 fixtures. They are on EBAY now for $140.00 with shipping and bulbs. About the best deal I could find. Should I get a fixture with mirrored (aluminium) or white reflectors?

I have heard it both ways, my sparky buddy (we all need an electrician as a friend) says go with mirrored but most other advice says it will be too concentrated and glarey.

Any ideas. I can see this forum is going to be bad for my wallet.

Mirrored show the dirt faster, and the light reflection falls off faster. White is easier on the eyes for the first 6 months, then they are equal. Mirror is more difficult to wash. It shows the streaks........ white doesn't. White can be painted, but mirror can't. Go with mirror.... it is sexier looking......
