Nothing special here, but I found a guy who was selling some old school Disston handsaws, that I picked up, and he offered me a box of old tools for $10. I couldn't turn it down being the tool **** that I am. As pictured, most of the tools are older open end wrenches, Im guessing industrial or engineers wrenches.
There was some overseas **** that is seperated at the bottom of the main photo. But there was also some interesting brands, from Armstrong, J.H. Williams, Wright, Indestro, Barcalo Buffalo, Fairmount, and Vlecher. I guess this makes me new to old tool collecting as I've never heard of the Indestro, Barcalo Buffalo, Fairmount, and Vlcher.I guess, all in all, not bad for $10.(I apologize for the fuzzy pictures, my digital camera is on its last legs.)

Nice little assortment you have there.

I don't suppose I'd be lucky enough that any of the screwdrivers are Fleet brand?

The wrench next to the Fairmount was made by Vlchek. Both Vlchek and Fairmount were made in Cleveland. I find alot of wrenches from both brands at the local fleamarkets

Tool **** is right!!! I thought you were being faithful to me!!:lol_hitti

K5blazer is one of my best tool customers and is a real tool aficionado! He has a critical eye and loves quality. He has only bought modern tools to help pay for college by doing work on the side but now I fear for his future. Once the old tool bug bites, trouble lurks ahead.

Actually, he will be alright. He has great focus and knows where he wants to go and what it takes to get there.

Congrats on a nice score, I just hope you are not cancelling your standing order.:lol_hitti:lol_hitti:lol_hitti

PS. I have plenty of old stuff to sell you also!!!

HAHA Fill, I knew you'd be all over this one.

Yeah I probably forgot to mention I'm a small-time collector of antique woodworking tools and this guy had a few Henry Disston circa 1860's-1890's handsaws for dirt cheap...guess he didn't know what he had. So he sold me those for 30 bucks and then offered me the box of tools for an additional 10. Why not right?

Anyways, my current order is still standing with you! As a matter of fact some of the tools from the last 2 hauls from your shop have turned me a decent profit in the last two days on some of my customer/friend's cars. So it looks like I WILL be in your shop before March is over!!:lol_hitti

After the great buying experiences from you, I can't bring myself to buy mechanics brand tools from anybody else. Oh and my Craftsman box is literally overflowing with tools...I've had to store the overflow in my MAC rollaround cart...........come on Armstrong box!! My folks don't care if I buy a new box now that tools are migrating all over the garage and taking up their valuable storage space!!:lol_hitti

You have to at least give me a chance to put some tools together for you.

I spent 10 hours today at an auction and didn't get anything on your current list but i'LL get it done. AnywaY, the armstrong awaits!!!

FatFill,

Between yesterday and today I made some decent dough turning wrenches so I'm probably coming back early...haha...before April ends! It also depends on how I feel, I just got hit by a head cold. And as you know, head colds and college work don't mix very well.

Anyways, yup, the Armstrong is as good as mine as soon as this semester ends and If you don't get anything on the list before the end of March it's all good. I'll just wait until you get some of it. No biggie there.
