I thought you guys would like to see a Young guys garage. I've lived here since I was 24. This is a great garage for a guy my age. It's a little messy in these pictures, but I work in here every day.

I got the Flammable chemical cabinet for free, It was in my Moms Warehouse when she bought the place. she didn't have a need for it. so now it is mine. All the lower cabinets are free take outs from a kitchen remodel. The cabinets on the wall to the right. One is built in and holds all my coffee tins of nuts and bolts. The wood one with stickers is my electrical supply cabinet. Free on side of road, stickers included. The white metal one(far right only half in picture) I bought at a garage sale for $1 dollar. It holds my gaskets and filter type stuff.

I'll get some more pictures this afternoon.

I appreciate the offer Rich, but it's a ways outside of my budget. The one in the pictures I got for free when Magnolia Hi-Fi quit doing car audio.

I am sure some of you are beginning to see a pattern here....cheap and free.

Looks like a working garage to me! What engine is in your rod?

38-48 Ford flathead I think.

Yep! lots of work...always sweeping up metal bits. Bib Overalls is correct, It's a Ford flathead, 59AB model to be exact. It's out of a 46 Ford Tudor.

Free is always best. I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do.. Rich

Thank! $80 is a good price, I've seen them much higher.

nice set up. looks like you get allot of work done in there.

I try to! It's been a lot of scrounging to get it where it is today. Both the car and the garage. I'll fill you guys on some more in my next post.

So here are some shots from today.

This is a cart from a broken Atlas engine analyzer My mom found on the side of the road by her house. I tried to get it working but it was really messed up. I pulled the electronics off and now it houses my grinders and cut off wheels. I have some plans in the future to make it even more usable.

Here are my grinder and drill press. I bought them, and my 6 inch vise at a estate sale all for $100 bucks. I made the stand for the grinder out of scrap model A axle bell housings, a truck wheel, and the plate the grinder sits on is a clutch plate from a top fuel car.

Here is how I store my jackstands, there is a lip running on the west side of the garage.

Here are my tool boxes. This is a short hall way behind the Hot rod Stone Ave is the main street close to where I grew up.

Here is the storage room off of the hall way. It has 3 gorilla racks in it. I bought those on craigslist for $300 for all 3 from a guy that had just moved from Kansas and couldn't fit them in his new house. It also has 3 sets of tires and wheels 2 engines among many other parts for all my vehicles.

Here is down the hall

Awesome setup for 24! I was building stuff on my drive way at 24. Thanks for posting.

Thanks! I didn't have all the tools I have now when I moved in. I've been here 5 years now. Just turned 29 in fact. Here is my first garage. I couldn't get a car in it....

In fact now that I think of it, I know you are on the Hamb and I think I bought that gas pump side from you.
