I've got an older Craftsman 3/4 inch/intended as 1/2" drive that was broached for 3/4 hex at both ends.

I've got an older 9/16 shallow 1/2dr that was stamped twice, so they all kinda run together. I consider them special.

I found a gearwrench once that had gearwrench on one side like normal, and ace professional on the other side. So you can draw your own conclusions on that one. I might go buy it tomorrow. gonna start a meuseum of tool mfg oddities.

Interesting. It happens, if you are very particular on your sets like me, swap it out. If you are not keep it.

I bought a set of Craftsman metric sockets because they were on sale and put them up. When I went to get a 15mm out, there was a socket in its place, with no stamping at all, and it wasn't a 15mm. It was more like a piece of chrome round stock instead of a scoket.
